Mardu Knights is a coalition-type deck style, building up an unstoppable army that the opponents can't deal with. Strong creature effects and keywords, a wide variety of tribal and equipment support, plenty of combat tricks and protection, unparalleled removal (targeted and untargeted), and some flashy bombs mean that your opponents need to make a concerted effort to deal with your boardstate, or get steamrolled. The downside is that your strict focus on the board leaves you vulnerable to disruption, and both ramp and tech are lacking, with the best options being pretty expensive. You've got reasonable draw, and some nice equipment tutors, but your access to your cards is still going to be weaker than some other decks. Fortunately, you've got good access to recursion, so once you've got something, you have an easier time holding onto it.

Syr Gwyn is a powerful but slow commander. She can end games by putting all your equipment onto a single creature (Voltron), or distribute equipment widely to let you draw. The downside is that at 6 mana and lacking haste, it's going to be hard to keep her on the field, especially with your limited access to ramp. A pure Voltron build, using other knights as support would probably be strongest, but that would add at least $100-$200 to the price. Instead, this build focuses more on keeping important knights on the field and supported, until you can play bombs (including your commander).
