Maybeboard

40 madness = 60 singles = pure woot. smooth as a caddy from the 60's! Edit1 after a while: we are 33/40 on the madness count because apparently its madness to run all 40 :)

while having 40 madness cards helps us a LOT while digging, looting and searching, it hinders our slots by a problematic margin.. we cant afford "maybe" cards, and test slots are usually done so by removing some of the madness slots (just remember to always have all the creatures in).

considering most of what we can do is copy or change the target of things, we are always prone to opposing interaction. while Worldgorger Dragon (WGD) loops are faster and usually what we try to accomplish, they are one of the most fragile combos out there, and a very risky one, too.

ok, but how do we win? once we have assembled WGD loops, we can win by:

Sunscorched Desert; Bloodhall Priest; Fiery Temper + eldrazi loops; Alms of the Vein + eldrazi loops; Avacyn's Judgment; Glint-Horn Buccaneer; Zombie Beats by Bone Miser

thats neat! but what if we cant reach WGD for some reason? do we fold? not at all! while Rakdos pool is a bit limited, and anje limits it a bit more since we're trying to brew a dedicated deck, we do have a few aces up our sleeves:

the infamous Dualcaster Mage (who doubles down as interaction) + Twinflame(which isnt an entirely dead card) gives you a sorcery-speed combat-dependant WGD-free win

we could also carry Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts, considering we can loop our snekyboi with kikki replacing the reanimate effects, but theyre both a ton of mana and not really where we wanna be.

Remember Bone Miser? Pair it up with Shadow of the Grave and-or Bag of Holding and youre in for plenty of tokens (and mana! and draws!)

while im not a big fan of it, Cobblepot has also come up with a very interesting line:

We start by Curse of Fool's Wisdom ourselves; get Vilis, Broker of Blood online; draw one card to start the loop; draw "infinite cards" (careful not to lose the game with a bunch of draw triggers on the stack); next we cast Burnt Offering to kill Vilis and stop the loop; play Shimmer Myr if you need an instant speed win; play Cloudstone Curio; play Dockside Extortionist (you need your opponents to help you with this one); then you can cast any creature you like (Anje Falkenrath is the easiest one) for infinite treasures, infinite colored mana, infinite ETB, infinite LTB, infinite sacrifice, infinite storm count, and if youre looping anje this way, infinite discard and infinite draw; find yourself a Mayhem Devil or an Aetherflux Reservoir and win the game.

This is very convoluted, very mana intensive, very open to interaction, very hard to pull off considering the amount of pieces you need, but note its an instant speed outside of WGD. and its VERY interesting!

you could shorten the whole thing just hardcasting curio -> dockside -> creature but then it has to be sorcery speed.

Theros Beyond Death has given us a nice new combo with Underworld Breach. We can loop it for a very good time with Wheel of Fortune and Lion's Eye Diamond. If we can pull it off, a win is very near!

Anje is a unique beauty that we got this year and im extremely happy with it! :D
