Subira is yet another expression of {R}'s inferiority complex, doing what {U} usually does but worse. No matter, even if this commader is kinda awkward, she plays in some fun design space.

The deck's fairly low CMC lets you get rid of more cards trough casting, instead of discarding them to Subira's pseudo-wheel. (Just try to hold back the tears when someone wraths before you've had the chance to refill your gas.) For an opening hand, I think you'll want a couple of castable creatures at least, and with Subira's total discard in mind I think you can be pretty aggressive in mullaging.

Berserkers' Onslaught/Rage Reflection provides double triggers for Subira's pseudo-wheel.

You can apply evasion from Subira, Goblin Tunneler, and Pathmaker Initiate in response to pumps from Goblin Rabblemaster and Purphoros, God of the Forge.

Subira can make other people's weenies, bears, and butt fighters (( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)) unblockable, so feel free to use spare mana for politics. (Mana Echoes is especially funny for this purpose.)

Promise to use Outpost Siege & Goblin Bombardment against anyone who board wipes as a mild deterrent. In a pinch, they can also work as creature/planeswalker removal since they're target-agnostic.

Goblin Vandal can't contribute to Subira's pseudo-wheel if you choose to blow something up.

Imperial Recruiter can't tutor for Anax, Hardened in the Forge if your devotion to red is three or more.

Getting 10 counters on Strixhaven Stadium can be kinda hard, so you might want to make a promise not to immediately use it on one or two of your opponents in order to avoid drawing more heat than necessary. (Also, Ensnaring Bridge & Meekstone.)

Sideboard contains some hipster cards for when you want to spice things up.
