Roon, Ferryman to the Island of Elba

Napoleon was originally exiled in 1814 on the island of Elba off the Tuscany coast in Italy. Napoleon returned to France from Elba in 1815 and began the "100 days" of renewed French military actions, which ended at Waterloo. Roon of the Hidden Realm does a fairly good job of duplicating this event...over...and over...and over again. Imagine each of your creatures a great warrior and strategist such as Napoleon. Roon will consistently send these creatures into exile (perhaps to the Island of Elba), only for said creatures to return to the board with a vengeance; asserting themselves to wage war once again.

Roon is the epitome of a value engine. Perhaps not the most broken nor the strongest. Roon still makes for a formidable opponent, capable of pulling off his fair share of shenanigans.

Roon offers a high level of playability and versatility. This deck fairs well against many matchups. Its toolboxesque theme and its provision of a great color combination allows it to be a staple at almost any commander table.
