Don't know if you are still running this at all, but Tilling Treefolk is an upgrade over Cartographer. I have been fiddling with a more midrange build that goes Bant instead of Naya with Growth Spiral for ramp and instant speed shenanigans and Territorial Baloth and Wave-Wing Elemental as payoffs while still using Steppe Lynx, Jaddai Offshoot, and Snapping Gnarlid; Lynx and Gnarlid for earlier pressure and the Offshoot to stay in the game.

Not bad for a first deck! You've got a good amount of lands, which is so important. Since you're just building out of what you have, if you have any more removal I'd consider running that over Angel's Mercy. You already have several ways to protect you and a few creatures that gain you life, and more often then not I think it will be helpful to have another way to remove whatevers damaging you instead of buying yourself another turn but leaving it on the board.

If you have more cards that put lands directly into play or ramp for you, I'd look at adding them as well. Cliffside Lookout, Oran-Rief Invoker, & Territorial Baloth are you wincons right now, and they all are mana hungry. The more lands you're able to get out fast the better you'll do.

Plus you can surprise 'em with Swell of Growth and play a fetch and get a +2/+2 and 2 landfall triggers for two mana at instant speed. Plus then any previous landfall triggers.

The exact turn with the 7 landfall triggers was:

(Game 1 of 3, Opponent at 21 life)

Board> 2 Makindi Sliderunner, 2 Valakut Predator, 1 Territorial Baloth, 3 Forests, 2 Mountains and 1 Terramorphic Expanse.

Hand> 1 Magmatic Chasm, 2 Swell of Growth, 2 Evolving Wilds and drew 1 Mountain.

1) Main phase played Magmatic Chasm, resolved, opponent has no fliers available to block.

2) Played Mountain, landfall trigger 1.

3) Moved to combat, played both Swell of Growths, playing both Evolving Wilds from hand and then sacked the 3 total fetches for the grand total 7 landfall triggers.

4) Smashed for a total of 72 unblocked damage and obviously, won.

yo this looks much much better than the first iteration. It ramps super hard, plenty of cards that give you a shit ton of landfall triggers for omnath. But you're still missing a few key things. First off, run more card draw. I'd add Elemental Bond, and DEFINITELY Soul of the Harvest because that is an elemental creature. Second, you needs some removal. Ulvenwald Tracker, Lightning Bolt, Beast Within, and Prey Upon are all staples. As far as artifact and enchantment removal, also add Hull Breach and DEFINITELY Decimate. Third, add Where Ancients Tread because that card is broken. You don't have to add all of these, only the ones you like. Make it your own. Here are the cards I'd consider dropping to make room for these, in order from definitely drop to maybe drop: Might of Alara, Panharmonicon (this card doesn't work the way you think it does), Tribal Flames, Jaddi Offshoot, Scythe Leopard, Crop Rotation (it doesn't actually ramp you), and Territorial Baloth. Not bad for a first attempt! Omnath kicks ass dude

Okay, so I'm going to suggest a bunch of cards that either ramp with lands/get lands to your hand or do something when lands hit the battlefield, and then you can decide which ones you like

Land ramp: Natural Connection, Nissa's Renewal, Pulse of Murasa, Grapple with the Past, Seek the Wilds, Splendid Reclamation, Attune with Aether/Traverse the Ulvenwald (may be a bit out of your budget), and Ulvenwald Hydra.

Does stuff with lands: Architect of the Untamed, Jaddi Offshoot, Pack Guardian(let's you do something with extra lands), Retreat to Kazandu, Territorial Baloth, Tireless Tracker (more expensive, but a fantastic card for this deck. If you are going to buy anything expensive, this is where I would splurge), and Undergrowth Champion.

Pick some cards from here, and we can narrow down what the deck should do to try to keep it budget and make it mildly competitive.

First things first, you claim that this is a landfall deck. However, I do not see enough cards with landfall, other than Omnath and Avenger. Some other landfall cards you can consider are Oran-Rief Hydra, Undergrowth Champion, Baloth Woodcrasher, Territorial Baloth, Akoum Firebird, Grove Rumbler, Plated Geopede, etc.

More cards that increase landfall include Exploration, Journey of Discovery, Explore, Explosive Vegetation, Harrow, Into the Wilds, Rites of Flourishing, Khalni Heart Expedition, etc.

Scapeshift works well with landfall triggers and helps you get rid of dud draws so you can draw into more creatures and stuff. It also has good synergy with Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle, assuming you look for five other mountains. That way, all the lands are considered as entering the battlefield at the same time, so your opponent takes damage equal to 3 times the number of lands sacced. Crucible of Worlds also goes pretty well with Scapeshift. However, it also comes at the cost of a hole in your wallet.

Well, I hope this wall of text I typed helped to an extent. Good luck with the deck. Also, I apolpgize if any of my suggestions were already in the deck, since I simply did a quick scan.
