Hello Everyone!
I bought the Gideon planeswalker deck at my local card shop, and made some other minor tweaks to this deck. I really liked Gideon, Martial Paragon, so I figured I would give him a try in this deck. I'm also testing out some mana buffing cards like Overgrowth and Verdant Haven.
Let me know what you think!

Small Changes

Cultivate --> Wood Elves: With some of the Decks in my meta i want some early game blockers, the tapped lands are not great and no one in my meta really runs much non basic land hate. Lets me tutor it with [woodland bellower]
Kozilek, the Great Distortion --> Protean Hulk: Distortions is cool sure, and his effect is neat, but it has never done much and I am pretty much guaranteed to not be hard casting him. Hulk offers far more flexibility.
Asceticism --> Eldritch Evolution: removal in my meta is mostly non targeted and gone are the days where i need my commander out to really make the deck function or even need to protect it from tucks. As such ill put the slot towards more tutoring and flexibility. Evolution should let me turn Mayael on a bad hand into a 5 mana creature and if i have any 5-6 mana creature out it becomes a very scary tool letting me pick the answer i need.
Hoard-Smelter Dragon --> Exquisite Archangel: I dont think the angel will end up being very good if im being perfectly honest, but im also not willing to write off a pretty relevant ability. The dragon is just getting cut because its ability costs a lot and hasnt been super useful lately

I decided to add Boseiju, Who Shelters All and Netherborn Phalanx to my deck, and I'm also considering replacing Treasury Thrull with Sun Titan to get my more important things on the field easier. It's not only a much bigger body but it's also a little less mana intensive.Pre-Game Day Tinkering

It has been a long time since I sat down and adjusted this deck, mainly because my playgroup fell out of love with Modern for a while. Now I've got the chance to play again and I've made a few slight changes to the deck.
Most of the adjustments have been moving away from mid-late game and trying to push home an early advantage. The Sliver Legion is gone for now and the Bonescythe Sliver drops to the board, as does the Homing Sliver. I'm trying out the Leeching Sliver for a few more points of early damage and I've adjusted the mana base slightly, though it is still a way off me being happy with it due lack of Verdant Catacombs and being 1 Mutavault and 1 Cavern of Souls short.
Will see how it fares this weekend though usually when I make changes like this my decks tend to perform worse not better!

Mainboard: +1 inquisition of kozilek -1 path to exile Sideboard: -1 crumble to dust -1 crackling doom +1 ghost quarter +1 surgical extraction2-2 - Removed Aether Hub

Upon moving out of Harnessed Lightning, I should have taken out Aether Hub too, and this lost me my fourth round for 3-1. I lost Round 1 because of Bristling Hydra, and if that card continues to see play in this meta, I'll need to find an appropriate answer for it.Number 1 spot achieved

This deck CAN actually work, now.
Even if Throne of the God-Pharaoh never hits the field.
Hilarious!
It's been built by the TappedOut community, basically.
Well done, all of you.

I think I've whittled it down to a pretty good 75, but I still think the cards in the maybeboard might work well. I'm not sure where to put them or even if I should put them in at all. Suggestions/help greatly appreciated.SkipYourDrawStep, 6 years ago

Having spent the last few years with a beat down style sliver deck, not only was it not as effective as I wanted it to be, it was also getting a little stale...time to spice things up a little! Another important factor, Overlord is fantastic but also very slow - as it turns out, an 8 mana/5 colour tutor isn't exactly efficient. With these thoughts in mind, I've decided to give the deck a significant overhaul with 2 goals in mind: improve reliability + increase shenanigans.
I've taken out most of the pump slivers in favour of a few effective combo slivers. I've also learned that I need some disruption to avoid the hive mind's mortal enemy - board wipes. Anyway, here's the change list:
Out: Aphetto Dredging, Coat of Arms, Constricting Sliver, Distant Melody, Horned Sliver, Magma Sliver, Megantic Sliver, Might Sliver, Predatory Sliver, Root Sliver, Shared Animosity, Synapse Sliver, Syphon Sliver, Telekinetic Sliver, Thorncaster Sliver, Toxin Sliver, Ward Sliver
In: Basal Sliver, Commander's Sphere, Counterspell, Crypt Sliver, Darkheart Sliver, Darksteel Ingot, Disallow, Dormant Sliver, Enlightened Tutor, Firewake Sliver, Living Death, Mystical Tutor, Paradox Engine, Quick Sliver, Swan Song, Voidslime, Winged Sliver
I'm looking forward to seeing how this refreshed build performs.
