Bant Wizards Deck

Description

This deck was inspired when I pulled Tamiyo, Field Researcher from an Eldritch Moon pack during the prerelease. My focus is on abusing the tapping ability of the wizards to draw cards, tap other creatures, counter spells, etc. I bought the Evasive Maneuvers pre-made commander deck for a decent foundation and I adjusted it accordingly.

I've included enchantments and artifacts such as Pemmin's Aura, Strionic Resonator, Illusionist's Bracers and Thousand-Year Elixir in order to copy Derevi's ability and tap creatures I control for goodies. For example, I can enchant a creature with Pemmin's Aura to draw tons of cards or untap artifacts/creatures. I've also added Crystallization, because if I enchant one of my opponent's big scary dudes with it and then tap it (or untap it) by targeting it from Derevi's ability, that creature is now exiled.

Of course, playing blue, I have included some counterspells as well as some cards that make it possible for me to easily counter something. These cards include Arcane Denial, Ixidor's Will, Render Silent

Notable Combos and Fun Shenanigans

In addition to the wonderful suggestions the TappedOut community has provided, I've been researching decks and brainstorming. I've developed some potential win conditions:

Stormtide Leviathan + Mind Over Matter + Wonder -- This combination allows me to discard Wonder to give all my creatures flying. Then, only my creatures can attack, and now that they all have flying, I can swing in the air for detrimental damage.

Cyclonic Rift + Beastmaster Ascension + Mirror Entity -- Return all my opponent's creatures to his/her hand, then swing with all of Hogwarts.

Arcanis the Omnipotent + Mind Over Matter + Laboratory Maniac -- draw until I reach Lab Man, play him, then mill out.

Laboratory Maniac also helps protect against excessive Traumatizeing

These are just a few wincons that I thought of on the spot, I'm sure there are more that I'll add later or that you will think of!

Some other combos that I'm loving:

Momir Vig, Simic Visionary + Derevi, Empyrial Tactician + Strionic Resonator/Illusionist's Bracers -- Play Momir, then play Derevi to trigger Momir's ability. Pay to copy Momir's ability with Strionic Resonator, and search my library for 2 creatures and put them onto the battlefield.

Dominaria Additions

With Dominaria getting released soon, I've seen a lot of the awesome spoilers. Here's a list of some awesome cards I'm planning on adding once the set comes out!

Naru Meha, Master Wizard, Naban, Dean of Iteration, Teferi, Hero of Dominaria

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'd love to continue with the wizards theme and make them a powerhouse.
