Get there with Tainted Pact, Necropotence, Ad Nauseam (+ Angel's Grace), Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal, Notion Thief + Timetwister/Windfall, or with Auriok Salvagers + Lion's Eye Diamond.

Paradox Engine takes the place of a High Tide package. If you don't think it is a better replacement, I suggest you test it out yourself. In this list, it basically functions as a better Omniscience because not only is every spell "free", but every spell also goes positive on mana, allowing you to activate Thrasios, Triton Hero and continue the gravy train until you draw into actual gas cards. In my experience with the list so far, whenever a Paradox Engine resolves, this deck wins that turn.
