Hi, i'm an edh player, i don't play competitive, i just wanna have fun with my friends and try to win. I love building decks and i'm always trying to find better and funnier solution to improve my decks. Usually i'm starting with a budget deck and after some games, if is it worth, i replace some budget cards with stronger ones.

This was one of the first edh deck i built. I was looking for a good commander for big creature deck and Xenagos is just fantastic and so overpowered.
First of all, Indestructible. I love commander hard to remove, and this is so hard to remove, expecially if you keep it as an enchantment. Keeping Xenagos an Indestructible Enchantment is safer and there isn't advantages in having Xenagos as a creature. Indestructible blocker? 6 commander damage? totally irrelevant in this deck.
He provides haste every combat and makes creature HUGE. What else? I can't ask for anything better than this.

and Provides amazing big boyz, that's why I don't play any Eldrazi in this deck. I also excluded infect stuff, because i think is too much cancer for a friendly playground.
Game plan is really simple here:
ramp as much as you can in the early game and play Xenagos. After that you can start playing big boyz and destroy your opponents. Every creature in the deck enter the battlefield with a huge hit mark on his head, but removal isn't a problem, you have to accept it, because if a creature dies, a bigger one will come into play next turn.

Utility Lands

There isn't a lot to say about these. I run Kessig Wolf Run and Skarrg, the Rage Pits just in case i need trample, I think they are more than enough, I don't see the point of running some other cards that give trample. If (like most of the time) I don't need trample, they give me mana.
Spinerock Knoll and Mosswort Bridge are really easy to activate and can be really useful.

Removal

Since the deck is focused on creature I added some removal incorporated in a big boy (like Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, Balefire Dragon, Bane of Progress, Deus of Calamity and all their friends). Apart from that I run classic and removal like Beast Within or Chaos Warp and Chandra's Ignition is an auto-include in this deck.

Card Draw

I tried card like Elemental Bond or Soul of the Harvest with ETB draw trigger, but they look too slow in this kind of deck and I recently added cards like Hunter's Insight or Return of the Wildspeaker so I could draw a lot of card in a single spot, looking for what I need to win the game.
I think this is the best way of drawing in this deck.

Extra Combat

Good synergy with Xenagos, I like this theme and I decided to run 6 spells (3 of them are also good creature) in this category and they are just cool.

Ramp

Classic ramp spell, some of them could be repladed with cheaper solution but for my meta is fine. Obviously I run some big boy ramp, right Rapacious One?

Some other consideration

I tried and removed greedy cards like Blood Mist or Gratuitous Violence, they are cool, but they aren't truly necessary. Cards like Worldspine Wurm are amazing but I changed it with something cheaper, 6/7 cmc drop are the best in this deck. You really need something to drop after Xenagos ETB.(you can see all the swap in the Update section).
There are few combos in the deck, but most of times I just win via "normal" combat damage (haven't tried it yet, but with all the new big draw added, find a combo could become more common).

Weakness

The main weakness of this deck is Xenagos itself, if your opponents find a solution to remove it, maybe multiple times, the deck is dead. This deck without his commander is completely lost. Another bad thing is stax. Stax cards like Blind Obedience, Frozen Aether and even Propaganda will slow down your game and decrease Xenagos power.

The most important thing is having 1-2 ramp spell in the opening hand. Something like 2-3 lands, 2 ramp and a fat boy is a really good hand.
