Who am I?

Hi, i'm an edh player, i don't play competitive, i just wanna have fun with my friends and try to win. I love building decks and i'm always trying to find better and funnier solution to improve my decks. Usually i'm starting with a budget deck and after some games, if is it worth, i replace some budget cards with stronger ones.

Why Bontu?

Bontu isn't the most powerful commander for aristocrat decks, but she got some nice features:

• Low cmc
• Hard to remove
• Has some kind of evasion with menace
• Not the best ability for aristocrat since you have to pay , but it can helps
• She look harmless but could become very dangeorus in a split second
• She provides me a voltron solution if i can't win the game in the standard aristocrat way

Idea/Game plan

This is the first commander deck I built, it was born from Commander 2014 preconstructed deck and it got a lot of changes during the years, but i always had a lot fo fun playing it.
Midrange deck, resilient and with different ways of playing it. According to your draws and the game situation you can play it aristocrat, so you generate some tokens and using your sac outlets you get value from them. There isn't a lot of wrath spell, but you can find a lot of spot removal, useful to control the main threats. The idea is lowering your opponent with cards like Zulaport Cutthroat and then finishing them with Exsanguinate or combos.
The other option is killing your opponents with Bontu. If you got some lamb to sacrifice, you can start in the early game spreadding some commander damage and then finish the job using Fallen Ideal or Lashwrithe. If this option get countered don't worry, I won games with this deck without playing my commander, it's just an option.

Mulligan

You should aim for a low cmc token generetor, one of the best is Ophiomancer and an aristocrat boy, so you can start lowering your opponents life. At the start of the game you can use Bontu's ability as a sac outlet and that also helps scrying your deck and look for the best draw. Anyway this isn't a fast deck at all, you dont' need to hard mulligan except you got a totally unplayable hand.

Wincon

Combo:

• Nim Deathmantle+Ashnod's Altar+Geralf's Messenger= infinite damage
• Nim Deathmantle+Ashnod's Altar+Sling-Gang Lieutenant= infinite damage and life gain
• Nim Deathmantle+Ashnod's Altar+Weaponcraft Enthusiast/Sengir Autocrat/Grave Titan= infinite token and colorless mana. (with something like Blood Artist on the battlefield is infinite damage and life gain)
• Nim Deathmantle+Ashnod's Altar+Overseer of the Damned= destroy all your opponents non token creatures

Other good stuff:

• Exsanguinate: get a lot of mana in is quite easy.
• Fallen Ideal: great sac outlet, provides flying and with this deck can make bontu HUGE. (also hard to remove)
• Gray Merchant of Asphodel
