Not the typical Derevi deck. This one is more for fun than for being a prison for your opponents.

Key Combos

• Hermetic Study + Horseshoe Crab = Hermetic Crab, machine gun
• Mind Over Matter + Temple Bell = Forcefeed / Draw the combo I need

Note: Psionic Gift Can substitute for Hermetic Study. And Pili-Pala can fill in for the crab. No these won't trigger Derevi's tap/untap ability, but that's fine. That would be broken anyway.

Fun with tapping:

• Pacification Array and Icy Manipulator can be useful if you need a defender out of the way, sure, but it's much more than that.
• you could similarly use it on Howling Mine to make it asymmetric for card advantage.

Fun with duplication:

• Prototype Portal can be a abused in a lot of ways, from mana acceleration (Darksteel Citadel, Sol Ring, etc.) to getting you tons of untaps (Voltaic Key) or even making a copy of anything (Phyrexian Metamorph) every turn.
• Mechanized Production can do many of these as well and is automatic and a potential win-con if I get lucky enough to get Darksteel Citadel with it.

What to do with tons of untaps

• Lux Cannon - Destroy your opponents' entire board state.
• Make a giant Wake Thrasher. Then as long as you can tap down their defenders he can one shot them.
• Forcefeed a win with either Temple Bell or Otherworld Atlas, as long as you've drawn the fewest cards so far. If not, then just use them enough to draw into whatever combo would work at this point.
• If you get a bunch of Voltaic Keys you can turn that into loads of mana very quickly with Basalt Monolith, Gilded Lotus, Thran Dynamo, or even Sol Ring would net you back mana. Now you have a ton of mana instead.

What to do with tons of {C}

• Capsize all opponent permanents by continually buying it back.

What to do with tons of {U}

• The Hermetic Crab / Psionic Crab combo (listed under key combos) can ping your opponents to death so long as you have enough blue mana.

Why not include ___?

• Winter Orb, Static Orb, Stasis, Tangle Wire or Meekstone? It's not fun. Nobody likes playing against prison decks, and because of that people don't like people who play them. Besides, I always feel like such an asshole when I play those kind of decks.
