What does this deck do? It combos out, goes infinite, and wins the game. How does this deck do those things?

This section is not the main line and it only references the win conditions, we talk about those in the final section.

The first thing to focus on is getting your commander on the field. Elsha is not required to win, but she is insane value and your opponents know it. The sooner she hits the field the less likely anyone will have mana up for a counter spell. So what should your opening hand look like?

Ideally, dense mana, a counterspell for protection, and any of the cards outlined in the 'So No Head?' section. This is a big ask, but the point of this deck is to make a hand like this possible. Play your mana out and get Elsha onto the field.

What about the minimum acceptable hand? At least three sources of mana in such a way to make . You don't want to get into a situation in which you're drowning in blue mana but you can't seem to find any white. Remember Elsha is the number 1 priority.

So now Elsha is in play, awesome, but what's next? To put it simply, play everything you can. Elsha is powerful because she adds the top card of your library to your hand and gives it flash. This means you can leave mana up for a counterspell and use it to cast an artifact on your opponents end step instead.

Great, so what do we want now that we're on the Elsha Value Train toot toot? We'll answer that question after you've become more familiar with the deck and it's strategies in the below sections.

Everybody loves a bit of top, especially Elsha, but what if the top card of your library is a creature, or even worse, a land? These cards are in the deck to shuffle things around and keep youur combos alive.

Instants:

Opt, Brainstorm, Dig Through Time, Frantic Search These instants can breathe new life into your combo if you get stopped.

Sorceries:

Gitaxian Probe, Ponder, Preordain, Windfall These Sorceries are really just slow instants that can keep the combo moving.

Artifacts:

Scroll Rack allows you to not only get rid of those pesky combo breakers on top of your library, but also to plan your next few moves.

Sensei's Divining Top can work here too. Even if you're not using it to combo out and win it can change the top card for one mana.

Pyxis of Pandemonium exiles the top card from the game. If you don't need the card, it's worth getting rid of to potentially continue your combo.

Moonsilver Key is a high cost mana artifact tutor. already have it on the board you can break even with a 0 mana rock which is value when you're clearing the top card.

Tutors:

Good News! Tutors help you win the game, and if you already have your key pieces or your combo get's stopped, you might as well use them to shuffle right?

Mystical Tutor, Enlightened Tutor, Whir of Invention, Fabricate, Gamble, Merchant Scroll, Reshape

And Don't forget about the Fetch Lands!

Arid Mesa, Flooded Strand, Polluted Delta, Windswept Heath, Prismatic Vista

This section is dedicated to unique finds that I haven't seen in any other Elsha Primers.

Number 1. Drafna's Restoration

I think this card is vastly overlooked. to undo an artifact board wipe. This can be a game changer if a combo piece is destroyed.

Number 2. Pyxis of Pandemonium This card can clear the top card and win the game.

Number 3. Moonsilver Key This card is a high cost mana rock tutor but If you're preparing for Iso/Dram and you need another mana rock this can be the difference between going infinite and not. And as already discussed this can shuffle to clear that top card if needed.

Number 4. Lotus Bloom This is another severely underrated card in cEDH, but especially in Elsha. If you control Elsha this card does not slow you down, if you don't control Elsha then it can help you cast her. Most valuable on turn 1 but I wouldn't complain about a three turn black lotus.

Being in cEDH means two things, your opponents are fast, and they want to stop you. Several of the cards in this list are targeted at the pod I play in and try to keep me moving. Cards for Meta: Pyroclasm, cursed totem, swords to plowshares, snap, disenchant, aven mindcensor, Abrade
