Welcome, Stay Awhile and Listen.

Omnath, Locus of Rage was my first EDH Commander at my MTG beginnigs back in 2015. Since then I always enjoy playing him.

This deck is build for multiplayer with at least four players.Omnath, Locus of Rage is unbelievable powerful an can kill a whole game session within one turn. Once you got ramp him out, be aware off beeing the enemy of the table. But with all your ramp spells, Omnath is going to come back every time, your enemies try to ged rid of him.

You will play against the board because you keep playing lethal threats and immediately getting the board's main target. You will recast your commander a dozen time, but Omnath is so explosive that you can overwhelm your opponents by one or two turns.

This deck plays simple and straight.

  • Early Game - Ramp, Set up draw engine or sac outlet, Play Commander
  • Mid Game - Play Lands, Make Tokens, Burn Threats
  • Late Game - Play win-condition

Goals:

  • Ramp
  • Play Commander
  • Draw Engine
  • Sac Outlet

Your primary Goal is to ramp as fast as possible until you have seven mana to play your Omnath, Locus of Rage.

My all time favorite early game cards are Lotus Cobra and Tireless Provisioner providing me lots of mana. Exploration and Burgeoning are doing great when you have enough lands at start and additional Burgeoning is incredible good later with Ghost Town. Khalni Heart Expedition is good to save up some Landfall trigger for later.

Setting up a draw engine like Elemental Bond, Garruk's Uprising or Greater Good is highly recomended.

You should also consider to get your sac outlet Goblin Bombardment, Ashnod's Altar or Perilous Forays on the board at a decent moment.

You should also have a Scute Swarm ready when you hit six lands. He will get out of hand very quick with this deck.

Goals:

  • Play Lands and Make Tokens
  • Remove Threats

The strategy stays the same: Play lands and generate tokens and value with your draw engine. Destroy threats by sacrificing your Elemental-Tokens and Lightning Bolt with your Omnath.

At some times the board will flooded with nasty things, and to get ride of threats we have Bane of Progress, Nevinyrral's Disk and Wave of Vitriol which can also gets you some Landfall trigger. Creature based threats in most cases should be handleable with Omnath.

Goals:

  • Set up win condition

At this point of the game Omnath, Locus of Rage might has been removed about 5-6 times. But with 25+ lands, Omnath will return once again. At this point you should begin to take down the life points of your opponents, fast!

You have serveral options to cripple down your opponents. With cards like Fiery Emancipation and Gratuitous Violence you can critically multiply your damage output.

Warstorm Surge, Terror of the Peaks, Purphoros, God of the Forge and Where Ancients Tread do more ore less the same. They all let you spread your love all over the board, when a creature enters the battlefield under your control. With the downside of Where Ancients Tread not synergizing with Gratuitous Violence.
