Soft and comforting, until it chokes you to death!

Welcome to my Daxos the Returned Pillowfort/Stax deck.

The premise of the deck is to use pillow fort aspects to become the least attractive target at the table, look to build up your board whilst managing the table with spot removal and sweepers, then look to try and lock out the opponent or beat them to death with tokens or combo them out.

Unfortunately my EDH meta isn't overly competitive, which has meant that I have deliberately steered away from having too heavy a Stax element as most people at the shop wouldn't find that fun.

The main lock that tends to happen with the deck when you can get Greater Auramancy, Karmic Justice and Sphere of Safety together, which then allows you to beat people to death with Luminarch Ascension tokens, or combo them out with Sanguine Bond & Exquisite Blood. Daxos himself is more a secondary win con, I like to get him out early as most people consider him low impact, its not unreasonable for him to get 6-8 loyalty counters pretty easily before a board wipe which means your able to use him effectively in the late game.

The biggest issue I've found with the deck are decks that don't want to interact rather just combo off, decks like Purphoros can really cause some issues; if a deck like that appears across the table I tend to try and engineer the table against them as their game plan trumps ours in a one on one match up as they don't look to interact with you and your permanents much.

Thanks for taking the time to drop in and have a look at the deck. If you have any comments or critiques I'll be more than happy to field them, this deck has gone through a number of iterations so far and I'm sure can always be improved!

Cards I'm considering cutting:

Debtors' Knell - Boat loads of fun, but glacially slow

Crystal Chimes - Putting things to hand is great, but quite slow, typically if your having to use it your about to die anyway.

Elspeth, Sun's Champion - Normally comes down as a board wipe, and is slow as win con

NOTES: Maybe board = things that I am/have considered Side board = things which I think will be too stax based/expensive to buy
