Maybeboard

Based on the Ruthless Regiment precon decklist with Trynn and Silvar as Commanders. Tried to upgrade it and make it playable.

Since I'm a fan of tribals I took this chance to make a human tribal. I liked the idea of my humans not playing a combat role, but just existing to be sacrificed to Silvar, Devourer of the Free, where Trynn, Champion of Freedom lures them in with a promise of freedom.

With this idea in mind the deck went in a aristocratic / Voltron direction, which I think is an interesting combination. So the general strategy is to create human tokens or play cheap humans and sacrifice either to Silvar, making him stronger and stronger to scratch our opponents faces with his kitty paws while simultaneously weakening opponents through life drain.

With Silvar out we need to make him stronger to be a real threat first. Also we want to protect him. Therefore we need to lure in some victims, promising them freedom. Trynn, Champion of Freedom and Silvar's partner in crime is the first choice of course. Furthermore cards like Hanweir Garrison   can ensure a steady flow of victims while cards like Call the Coppercoats give a mob of humans at an instant.
Of course we want to have more advantages of our humans dying than just making Silvar stronger and indestructible; we want to weak our opponents. Zulaport Cutthroat or Cruel Celebrant come handy in here. Impact Tremors or Bontu's Monument drain life when we play or resurrect humans, which we also would like to do frequently. Bontu's Monument also makes a lot of creatures cheaper, including our Commander.
Probably we will not be able to only rely on sacrificing tokens, but will have to feed a nontoken human to Silvar from time to time. In that case bringing them back from the graveyard is a nice option to gain access to their effects and / or being able to sacrifice them once more. Bloodsoaked Champion lives to be sacrificed, while Phyrexian Reclamation is a cheap way to revive the dead. Palace Siege gives us the option of reclamation or life drain, which is pretty neat.
Of course we want to give our humans some air to breathe and not permanently sacrifice them to get +1/+1 tokens...or we are just greedy and want as much +1/+1 as possible. Either way, cards like Sword of Hours or Blade of the Bloodchief provide us with what we seek.
Menace is ok evasion, but can be really good, if only one creature is allowed to block. Vorrac Battlehorns and Silent Arbiter make Silvar unblockable while Thalia, Heretic Cathar raises the chance of our opponents having less blockers availabale. Also Butcher of Malakir could be seen as kind of evasion, since he makes the path free for Silvar.
What if Silvar is not available (for whatever reasons)? Without Sac Outlets our hands are tied. So putting in some alternatives to Silvar seems reasonable. Immersturm Predator, Falkenrath Aristocrat or Bontu the Glorified (I love this card) all fit in quite good, mechanic wise, and so are good substitutes for Silvar.

Overall it's just for fun and casual playing. Nevertheless, opinions and reckommendations always welcome!
