Fertilid is good with the counters but is too slow whenever I run it. I think you should run something like Blossoming Defense over Kaya's Ghostform, Kaya's Ghostform will make it drop all the enchantments that are on it. Mask of Avacyn can be another card in a similar role. The Ozolith seems so good in this deck that I would think about adding some equipment in and maybe a few other artifacts to try and get Inventors' Fair to work. Sarulf, Realm Eater may be a board wipe that will synergize, though a bit finnicky. Obsessive Skinner seems too difficult to get working early with little pay off if it does, Evolutionary Escalation may fit well into that deck, making counters, and friends, early and often. Mighty Emergence can probably do some work as the game goes on, Necropolis Regent seems like the perfect curve topper, Retribution of the Ancients might be a good removal engine. I do think that trample is the most important keyword early, so Ring of Kalonia is a good choice, Dragon Fangs or Vorrac Battlehorns may be good additions as well.

Izzet Over: A Pauper Commander Deck

Hope this is okay to drop here. It's a PEDH based around Stormchaser Mage . If not, just pretend it's a really bad, super budget Adeliz, The Cinderwind deck. Been trying to put the finishing touches outside of lands and was hoping someone could answer one of these for.

  1. What should I cut for Blighted Agent ? I plan on using it as plan B if my command tax becomes too much I was thinking Vodalian Arcanist just because my mana curve is so low and it will be very rare for it to have haste.
  2. Should I cut Fists of the Anvil for another 1-drop +3/+3 type of instant akin to Built to Smash or is that +5/+1 after prowess that devastating?
  3. Anything worth taking out for Inside Out. I just think it's really neat.
  4. Seeing how the deck is so offense-based, does the vigilance from Bladed Bracers matter? Should I focus on evasion such as Vorrac Battlehorns or straight combat like Bonesplitter ?

Thanks for reading. I picked up refining this deck after two years of not looking at it, so getting help with it and then bringing it to code has been a deck building priority for me.

I put together an elf tribal deck last night with her and was testing. Quest for Renewal would have won the game for me if it wasn't destroyed and Familiar Ground is a slightly harder to remove Vorrac Battlehorns with out the trample to make her unblockable. Even when I had her pumped to 6/7 I was finding attacks hard to make without her being able to be chumped and killed.

My version played out pretty well, though it did run out of cards as I couldn't seem to find any of my draw spells. Thinking I may need to get some more repeatable effects in there like Beast Whisperer and Phyrexian Arena. Even casting a card like Read the Bones was only moderately effective. In a deck that wants to flood the board I think I need to be drawing more than one or two cards from an effect unless its an every turn effect.

Her drain ability is absurd. If it stays the way it is now i'll be happy. All you need is one "untap on each upkeep" card and its game over if your opponents can't answer it (10 on my turn, 10 on the next three is game over most of the time) So I will be adding in Awakening on top of my Seedborn Muse and Quest for Renewal.

Just some early observations from my, albeit brief, experience. +1

Peoyogon: Thank you!!!

Definitely going to look into fitting some of these in, and Emeria is going right into the $$$$$ maybeboard! From playtesting so far it's been a lot of fun having a monored commander in a monowhite deck, haha. It's the kind of quirky uniqueness I appreciate in a deck. And if I keep finding cards that make monowhite a stronger option, and the addition of red doesn't end up giving me anything that's truly game winning, I just might end up keeping it this way!

Danitha is neat and I did consider her! Might give her another chance and see if I can find a slot for her. She's especially nice in an equipment-based build like this since she can bring the cost of all equipments down, while she'd be wasted on auras with fully colored mana costs.

And you're right, this is a good deck for Flickering Ward haha.

I'll keep Winds of Rath in mind in case I add enough equipments to make it worth it, but right now I don't see the deck going in that direction. And finally... Hot Soup is a fun card! Only reason I didn't add it is that Rograkh has so much built-in evasion already, and for just one more mana I can make him unblockable with no downside and without requiring indestructibility. And it was a lot of fun realizing that menace meant Vorrac Battlehorns just made it flat out unblockable.

But yeah, thanks a lot for the comment and suggestions! They definitely help!

You love those Vorrac Battlehorns don't you?

I would suggest adding another Mephitic Ooze and some equipment that grant Lure effects so that you can kill even more creatures with the Ooze. Also, maybe some card draw like Night's Whisper? On that note, given the amount of Germs you are going to get, Village Rites might be nice.

Last but not least: living weapon creates Germs ... pandemic ... just a thought.

I'll cut Dinrova Horror, Scuttlemutt, Haunted Cloak or Vorrac Battlehorns.. But you're better to know what to cut, while playing the deck, you'll see which cards you prefer and which one you never play

Vorrac Battlehorns makes Silvar unblockable for a cheap equip cost.

ironmindraph on Any suggestions for this Kalamax …

You might consider some artifact/enchantement hate by adding Artifact Mutation and Krosan Grip. I think you should remove Shadowspear and Vorrac Battlehorns.
