Maybeboard

Ever wondered what the minotaurs do all day in their labyrinth? Apparently they like to torture anyone that wanders in that doesn't have hands.

Welcome to "Neheb's Torture Labyrinth", my attempt at marrying a Neheb minotaur tribal discard deck with the torture machines found in the world of MTG. The concept is simple, make sure nobody has a hand and start punishing them for it. It's just like real life ( insert political joke comparing the objective of the deck to a certain political ideology here). If they can't pay, you'll take it away and hurt them, and even if they pay, you'll hurt them regardless.

As to how to make it better, if you do away with the torture chamber concept thing, you'll be able to add a few more cool minotaurs and mainly, add more discard and recursion (something that in a deck that wants to use a fair number of creatures, you should probably have more than I do). Maybe some madness cards, who knows?.

Labyrinth of Skophos and the other mazes are added mostly for flavor and theme cohesion. They are fairly decent cards, but can be removed to add a bit more mana.

Havoc Festival is there because you need to unwind after a day of torturing people. There is no other good reason for it to be there though...

In the maybe board are some ideas for possible replacements. Minotaur suggestions if we want to go more tribal (I avoided putting the obvious staple choices like metallic mimic or the automaton).

Non-minotaurs if we want to actually make the deck work better.

Ideas to increase the discard power of the deck and more recursion.

Angrath for those that want Angrath in their lives.

More torture if we want to go all in on the torture concept. The sections includes tools with effects that only trigger if a player has more than 4 cards in hand, because if you are not punishing the ones that are actually working hard to try and have more hand than the others you are not doing your job right.

Updates Add

In an attempt to better the deck a bit I've changed a few cards:

Skophos Maze-Warden was a card added mostly for flavor so it was easy to replace. Having an additional interaction with the labyrinth is fun, but it is very rarely relevant in a commander game, especially if you don't have ways to make sure you can regularly get both cards in play.

I like Oracle of Bones, it's probably one of the nicest cards that has the 'Tribute' mechanic. However, it is still a card with the 'Tribute' mechanic. 9 out of 10 times your opponent is going to pay the tribute because 9 out of 10 times, dealing with a 5/3 is easier than dealing with whatever spell you could play for free. He has 'Haste' which is nice since it potentially lets you capitalize on the tribute immediately, but that's about it and in this particular deck there aren't that many cards that HUGELY benefit from his ability.

Fanatic of Mogis' damage is nice and goes well with Neheb, the Eternal, but that's about it. Can be used to sometimes push for lethal, but it's not relevant enough to keep him in the deck.

I've never had much use for Pain Magnification. I've always found myself discarding my opponents through other methods, so I decided to replace this one.

Opal Palace and Sea Gate Wreckage were replaced by the mazes. I've found that they were the lands with the least use on the deck. Hopefully this push for flavor instead of utility doesn't bite me in the behind (too much).

Prowler's Helm wasn't doing much. The deck already has a few ways of making my cows go through and I've found out that if I'm going to add equips I'd rather have more evasion and protection than this.

As fun, on theme and memey as Scalding Tongs and The Rack are... I've found out that the fact that they only target one opponent is kind of a deal breaker. They'll always have a special place in my heart, but not on this deck.

I've also started building a bit of a sideboard to help adapt to decks I found myself struggling a bit, namely decks with huge draw power and curses.
