Behold Zedruu, the Last-Minute Shopper!!!

Tremble before her ill-conceived gift ideas!

Decided it was time to get serious about my Zedruu deck. It was bordering on jank and my meta is not forgiving of jank decks. Took out most of the non-donation creatures, took out some pillow fort (yes, there was actually more), added removal and an addition win-con in Evra, Halcyon Witness . Evra + Cyclonic Rift is game over.

Zedruu is 100% about politics. I don't buy the idea that donate decks shouldn't run cards like Aggressive Mining or Steel Golem , but it is important to get the proportions right. I added a couple more 'Santa' cards that benefit everyone, which tend to stick around after you give them away (like Helm of Awakening or Mana Flare , which was already in). The point of the 'Krampus' cards is that you shouldn't have to play them; the threat - combined with this much pillow fort - should be enough to discourage anyone attacking or messing with your stuff. Use the group benefit cards to placate the table - even though you're benefitting the most from card draw + lifegain - and individual benefits to make alliances.

Besides Evra, there are four other cards that can win the game by about turn 10: Chasm Skulker , Psychosis Crawler , and Righteous Authority or Empyrial Plate . Either of those last two on Zedruu can be a 1-hit win from commander damage.

Zedruu is a fun deck - I'm excited to see how this upgraded version performs. Any suggestions or comments would be welcome. Upvotes are always appreciated!
