Maybeboard

Anyone who's tried to build Shu Yun as voltron can tell you what happens when you bring that deck back to the same table. You'll spend the whole game fighting desperately to protect Shu Yun from all of the removal in hopes of ending the game in one turn. Which, while it can be fun, also gets kind of stale.

The goal here was to build a "prowess tribal" version of Shu Yun that still feels very Jeskai as it slings cheap, powerful spells while you get huge value from triggers on your board.

Since so many things in this deck trigger on instant & sorcery spells, having a hand full of 1-2 cost spells helps you outmaneuver the board without resorting to traditional Counterspell measures.

Flashback and Buyback are very valuable for maintaining advantage over long battles.

Love this non-traditional approach, it's along the same lines for what I was going for with my own Shu-Yun brew. Good job!

Thanks theplotthinnens! This has been a rough deck to tease out and I feel it's still not quite there.

I'll be checking out your take on it for more inspiration!
