Trying to make mono-red Dragon kindred happen even when I don't have to.

Because I'm stubborn.

Guild Artisan seems like the overall best red Background here, both helping ramp into expensive Dragons and feeding into Treasure synergies. Tavern Brawler is a fine alternative since its card advantage complements Ganax's mana generation. Dragon Cultist might seem superior at a glance, but since Ganax doesn't have base 5 power, triggering it isn't super reliable, and the reward for doing so is pretty underwhelming. (Plus, it sharing a casting cost with Ganax is awkward.) The others are all pretty mediocre, being more suited for decks with other specific themes. (I kinda wish Faceless One had changeling.) Note that like Dethrone, Artisan AFAIK doesn't trigger if you attack a relevant player's planeswalker/battle.

Some combos involving Ganax + Cloudstone Curio + Molten Echoes + Dragons that can generate mana, e.g. Patron of the Arts. A 3.5 piece wincon isn't super bad. Replacing the Dragons with Panharmonicon/Xorn/Roaming Throne at least nets you infinitive Treasures. (Which actually makes a case for having your Background be... Street Urchin. Huh.) Hellkite Charger can also go infinitive with various cards.

Magda, Brazen Outlaw can fetch the Curio or a combo Dragon (or a finisher like Utvara Hellkite).

Professional Face-Breaker is obviously great as it lets you dig trough your deck for Dragons, which in turn can make more treasures with Ganax.

Roaming Throne works with Guild Artisan, since the latter gives Ganax the ability.

Being a creature-focused deck, it is naturally vulnerable to wraths. To mitigate this, don't dump too many Dragons from your hand onto the board if you don't have a source of card advantage. Cards like End the Festivities helps clear out enemy weenies, making the overall board less wrath-worthy. When worst comes to worst, Tibalt's Trickery, Warping Wail, and Cauldron of Souls helps you actually survive a wrath.

Blasphemous Act + Wrathful Red Dragon is decent for closing things out when you're ahead.
