It's about time for my NINTH commander!

For a long time I had this Mindfuck mono discard deck that I loved to build and play. But I haven't been playing anything but commander for the last several years, so I was thinking about adapting it for EDH. The original plan was using Urgoros, the Empty One as general, but it seemed too slow.

Then I took a quick look for low CMC black legends and Virtus the Veiled caught my attention, so I've separated him from his friend Gorm the Great and now darkness is his only friend. (Hello darkness my old friend... Actually I just wanted to run a lot of spells without risking my curve.)

The idea is to open the path to Virtus hit the opponent in the face, so I'm using a lot of creature removal and discard, a bit of haste and evasion, and a little bit of double strike too with Fireshrieker .

One hit from Virtus drops the opponent from 40 to 19 life, and then to 9, so it's very satisfying. Hopefully I can draw Dark Ritual in my opening hand and play him on turn 1! /o/

After the opponent has taken one or two hits from Virtus, his life will be on the killing-range for things like Quest for the Nihil Stone , Painful Quandary and Shrieking Affliction . :)

That's pretty much it, I was trying to go for Land Destruction too, but I've ended up cutting it from the list. Actually I've cut a lot of things I'd like to run, but hey, this is deckbuilding.
