After traversing the vast plains and summitting the treacherous mountains of their home, the pair came to look upon the tower of the archmage.

There it stood tall above the horizon, encircled by a dense shining city surrounded by a confounding melding of hazardous and beautiful landscapes.

Reality itself seems to fall apart and reconstitute ad nauseum in the presence of the titanic beings summoned by the renowned magician to protect the tower from intrusion.

Were these monstrosities truly as dangerous as they appeared at a distance, or was it all part of some grander illusion?
