Myojin of Life's Web

Legendary Creature — Spirit

Myojin of Life's Web enters the battlefield with a divinity counter on it if you played it from your hand.

Myojin of Life's Web Discussion

I can't help but feel that Yisan, the Wanderer Bard is too slow here. Maybe Worldly Tutor, Congregation at Dawn, or Myojin of Life's Web instead for tutor or cheating out more doods?

Your list seems a bit heavy for how much ramp you have. I also think that you're running a lot of cards which could be replaced with much more effective counterparts.

  • Archetype of Endurance should be something like Mother of Runes instead. Archetype is slow and by the time you've assembled the setup with it and Avacyn, you should have already won. Mo' runes can come down turn 1 and helps Sisay stick until her summon sickness wears off.

  • Unless your playgroup runs Extraplanar Lens/you're running Scrying Sheets, Into the North is not worth it just for the Arctic Flats. Given that you're using Paradox Engine, Talisman of Unity is a much better card.

  • You have very little inthe way of creature removal. You're not running Mangara of Corondor, Swords to Plowshares or Path to Exile. These are all staple removal pieces in Sisay and not running them is just setting yourself back.

  • Myojin of Life's Web is a trap card. First off you have to cast it, then to get any value off of it, you have to have a bunch of creatures in your hand, generally meaning that you have to not play stuff for a few turns. This just seems counter productive.

  • You should be running Avacyn's Pilgrim. One drop dork that fixes your off colour is super good.

PartyJ thanks for the answer!

I don't want to go super-competitive, but there are my wishes:- competitive enough to play against basic commander 2017 and maybe a tier higher- fun to play and play against

Currently i have a great combo with Lifespinner goes on Myojin of Life's Web, then Iname, Life Aspect to place both hand and grave back onto the field (maybe multiple time thanks to That Which Was Taken).

It's nice to have 100+ life while everyone struggling in 40-ties.

I'd like to retain the thematism but improve the effectiveness. Budget is not really an issue.

Bow of Nylea would fit nicely here.

Myojin of Life's Web is great for cheating dumb big things into play.

Thragtusk. Do I need to say more there?

You could go the route of Birthing Pod but you would have to radically rethink your curve to accommodate it.

Ghost Quarter. Great when your opponents have degenerate lands that you you need to rid yourself of.

Bane of Progress is a must. It can occasionally be a bomb. Plus artifact removal is not something to scoff at.

Hydra Omnivore is nuts in multiplayer. And big as shit regardless.

Mwonvuli Beast Tracker lets you search for your bombs. Well some of them at least.

Sorry if these suggestions are lackluster. I have little experience in mono-colored builds.

First of all. Cool list!! +1

Suggestions: Balefire Dragon, Dragonlord Atarka, Birthing Pod, Myojin of Life's Web

I agree Mossbridge Troll is total sick. I had one in my Surrak list for a long time.

I actually just took it out. And I think I regret it...

A few cards to consider. Heroes' Podium is solid value, Myojin of Life's Web lets you dump all your legends at once, Day of Destiny just because, Skysovereign, Consul Flagship for spot removal + beat stick, Bow of Nylea for shuffling legends back into your deck.

DarkLaw on You're killin' me, Walls!

I think that Coco walls would be the solid competitive way to build this deck. It allows you produce literally infinite mana with Staff of Domination, and is very consistent (Chord of Calling is so good).

If you just want the style points with green legends, Surrak, the Hunt Caller allows your big Eldrazi to have haste. If you truly want to assert your dominance and go deep, Myojin of Life's Web allows you to turn 9 mana into an emptied hand at instant speed.
