Aminatou's Augury

Sorcery

Exile the top eight cards of your library. You may put a land card from among them onto the battlefield. Until end of turn, for each nonland card type, you may cast a card of that type from among the exiled cards without paying its mana cost.

Aminatou's Augury Discussion

Zaane2 on Refracting Spellslinger

@Hblue My main wincons are the cards listed in my Threat and Profit sections. I purposely tried to avoid Storm-type cards to limit the amount of time my turns take. It may just be the nature of spellslinger decks to take long turns. Last week, I copied Brass's Bounty , which gave me enough mana to copy Aminatou's Augury 3 times. There's not really a way to resolve that quickly haha. The wincons are primarily large/copied burn spells. The only other way a spellslinger deck would win is through infinites which I chose to purposely exclude. There's the double copy spell + Ral, Storm Conduit , but my exclusion of tutors makes that pretty rare.

I don't run any protection for Riku because he's just a value piece: He's not essential to the deck's function. If he sticks, I can probably get some gross copy value, but some games I won't even cast him simply because I'm already doing things. Riku isn't like Mizzix of the Izmagnus where the deck is significantly worse without him in play; assuming you build him that way.

Dude, I watched the episode (friend sent me the link because I am building a Golos deck) and I was just in aw watching the deck work. Sadly Mindslaver was not a fun event but I like the Aminatou's Augury synergy with the deck. I am glad that there is a golos deck that avoided the maze

I did tell you i was going to look at everything because of the support, so here goes nothing.

Disclaimer: I am really bad at giving advice for EDH decks. While i do love to help people out, Modern is my prefered format to do this in so feel free to correct me on anything I missed or miscalculated on.

Shared Fate and Nexus of Fate are both fate related cards and while Shared Fate seems fun, i don't know how many extra turn cards you want, just based on mentality of your playgroup, if it more casual or more competitve. Primal Amulet  Flip gives you a little ramp and later makes your spells like Aminatou's Augury stupid powerful. Looking at Commence the Endgame it kinda gave the the feel that fate cannot be avoided, not even delayed, especially the fact that it cannot be countered. All in all, I love the deck(of course) and have a sudden urge to build a Triad of Fates deck. Im gonna look at more of your decks and then go get to that i think.

Raff Capashen, Ship's Mage seems like a perfect fit for this deck. I will try him out for sure.

I did some research on my commander in EDHREC. Thanks for the tip with the Hub. Atm i am not sure about Thought Erasure even if it is kinda a pet card for me, Arena Rector underperfomed heavily; Mortify is not flexible enough for my taste looking for alternatives. Aminatou's Augury and Narset, Enlightened Master performed exceptionally. Still not sure about the Mana.

Maybe including some good staxx cards, but i do not know which would be the best.Maybe Winter Orb

I've replaced Aminatou's Augury with Day of the Dragons to create a mass blink ETB effect.

Aminatou's Augury may have to go. I'm worried that I could draw something like 5 creatures because I'm so creature heavy and only choose one.

Your deck looks really fun, but I have some questions: Is Toothy, Imaginary Friend not too slow? Or you just need it to draw like 2 or 3 cards? Hidden Stockpile is also slow to me. You can have only one servo each turn, even if you have ability to scry for sacrifice them. I think that Thassa, God of the Sea could be better... And why you removing Aminatou's Augury, Entreat the Angels and Primordial Mist?
