For years and years, I played a 60-card Ink-Treader Nephilim deck (an ancient version of the list is viewable here). When EDH became my main format, I was a little sad for a long time about the impossibility of legally playing a similar deck (outside of certain house rules, of course). Sure, I could run a 5-color general and hope to draw a tutor for Ink-Treader every game, but that still left me with huge inconsistencies and a deck that did nothing in a certain percentage of games.

Then, Zada, Hedron Grinder was printed. I tried to make it work, but it just wasn't the same. Without the other colors, the deck just ran so differently. It wasn't nearly as fun or diverse. Ultimately, it was a real kick in the head, because I knew that it would be YEARS before WotC explored this design space on a legendary creature again, if they ever did at all.

But a couple weeks ago, General Tazri was spoiled. It took a while for the connection to be made, but eventually I got to thinking, "Hey. Isn't Zada an Ally?"

So here it is. She effectively costs 9 mana (and comes with an extra head), but I can finally run a 5-color Zada deck fully legally in Commander.

The gameplan, obviously, is to drop Tazri, grab Zada, drop Zada, then get the show running for real. The core of the deck is cheap targeted cantrips like Leap, which will fill your hand, and targeted copying effects like Spitting Image, Cackling Counterpart, or Twinflame.

When you copy your board, you'll get to double up (and quadruple, and octuple, etc., depending on the game state at the time and how much recursion you employ) on great ETB effects like Wood Elves, Ashen Rider, and Eternal Witness.
Obviously, when you copy them, Zada and Tazri will die. Tazri will grab an ally, but I've only included two others in the mainboard.

The deck CAN go infinite almost reliably, but don't do that, because infinite combos are shitty and non-interactive and nobody likes them.

The rest of the deck is some ramp, some protection, and some removal.
