I would say focus on etb effects, and graveyard recursion like Eternal Witness, Greenwarden of Murasa, and Recollect
Use different dorks for ramp since they can be doubled, and add some 2 cmc rocks for ramp.
Finally id recommend getting rid of the counterspells for control, and include a Steel Hellkite, as well as Song of the Dryads among your control cards.
I typically say 35 lands, and 10 ramp will get you out fast, and reliably. Somewhere about as many creatures as lands, and 10 of any theme such as removal, draw, equipment, etc.. will get you to see that kind of effect reliably and generally early. 15 or more if you want to see it multiple times in many games.
Dont forget reusable artifact draw with stuff like Coercive Portal, Cosmos Elixir,Lifecrafter's Bestiary, Liar's Pendulum, and Staff of Nin
and these rocks
Arcane Signet, Star Compass, Coldsteel Heart, Wayfarer's Bauble, Mind Stone

Given Your Mana Curve, 32 lands may not be enough, 34-35 will be better and keep you from getting land screwed.
Some cards that can be dropped for others
Divine Visitation: You don't have enough token generators to get value out of this, it will be a dead draw more often than not. --Replace with land
Soul Sisters (Soul's Attendant, Soul Warden, and Essence Warden They are okay, but there are better options: Authority of the Consuls ...errr not as many as I thought, but I am iffy about those in an EDH list. Maybe Serra Ascendant?
Regrowth and Recollect: you have enough reanimation with some of you angels. You can drop those for lands and put you at 35.
Leyline of Sanctity may be a bit much? unless your group plays a lot of burn and target player cards, those aren't too common in commander.
Maybe think about The Book of Exalted Deeds?
Hope this helps!

I have another questions: why is it that Regrowth and Recollect do not exile themselves, but Restock and Seeds of Renewal do? Is it because the latter two cards are newer? Is such an effect really that powerful?

Bala Ged Recovery Flip seems strictly better than Recollect, might want to throw in Okina, Temple to the Grandfathers for that legendary sub-theme.

Rafiq + Mark of Sakiko works wonders.
My finisher/combo usually consists of Rafiq with Mark of Sakiko, then finishing with Time Stretch or similar cards to cut down all enemies. If that does not finish them, I usually add Regrowth or Recollect to recast extra turn spells as needed.

sub780lime there are a lot of different ways to use the cards in this list, and I have included Noxious Revival as well as the other recursion cards but I didn't really express it fully in the description. Noxious Revival is very good for a lot of reasons, but Regrowth and Recollect work in tandem with Seasons Past to create the scaffolding to support the main loop structure and theory, which is "Zaxara + Freed/Pemmin's + a Draw X spell, looped by refilling the library to make arbitrary Hydra tokens, while at the same time enabling other non-X spells to be looped, too."
Instead of "shying away from" the deck's true form (which is a ridiculous sentiment but I'll choose to ignore it), I've chosen to enforce it by streamlining the strategic theory, instead of overfilling the deck with X spells that could potentially bog it down by being inactive or less-than-ideal.
