I have never liked Wort, the Raidmother ever. I never gave her a second thought, but this deck seems amazing, and I love your choices. A conspired Treacherous Terrain? Brutal. Benefactor's Draught? Beautiful. I really like your list, +1. You've earned my upvote.

thanks DoomOnYOU,

krenko was my first edh deck and i had grown bored of tapping him to win games, so i thought id upgrade to wort with my goblin babies and added green spells to enhance its explosiveness, and play more of a versatile list with some level of skill requirement, its actually really fun! and yea, Benefactor's Draught has so far been absolutely bonkers on Isochron Scepter with some tokens and wort out,

its so deliciously explosive now i save it for only my high end playgroup, thanks for the compliments and upvote!

goblinguiderevealpls yeah man, was a treat to look at your deck. I don't play red much, my only decks with red are Zedruu and Inalla. I play mostly blue-black so it's neat to see decks like yours.

October 5, 2017 8:42 p.m.

haha red is my lifeblood, i too like black and blue, my best commander second to this is Nekusar, the Mindrazer, and i play burn in modern and legacy xD

its already in the sideboard and considered for mainboard slotting, along with Outpost Siege,

what would you cut for it? i had trouble finding a free slot

I've always been curious about how the RG Wort plays, and this deck looks like a lot of fun. That being said, does Wort focus on actually attacking with her creatures or more spell casting? Both?

Brightstone Ritual would be another good ritual for a really low cost.

Your sideboard has Marton, but personally I would take Shared Animosity all day long over Marton. It's harder to remove, and doesn't rely on attacking or blocking with Marton to proc it. If he was like... a 4/4 or something it would be a different story but he is just too small of a body.

I've never been fond of Goblin Warrens. It relies too heavily on having Mana Echoes out so you can have 100 colorless mana to double up your army, and often something like Chancellor of the Forge can do a lot more for a lot less. Again, I don't know how Wort works, so maybe you have all kinds of mana to dump into it. I don't have that with Ib! :)

You could really benefit from more haste. Fervor, Urabrask the Hidden, or Mass Hysteria are all good options.

You might like Vanquisher's Banner from Ixalan.

Triumph of the Hordes would be a seriously fun win-con.

Copperline Gorge is rough, you are banking a LOT on drawing that early. I would take a basic over those types of land.

Do you get a lot of use out of the Hideaway lands?

That's all I can think of for now, but great looking deck!

thanks for the comment and advice!

i had Brightstone Ritual and Shared Animosity in krenko, but ive found that ritual isnt as good since half my creatures arent goblins, animosity definitely has potential still, and i will re add it since its a good card. Marton is mainly for the 3rd 6 cmc slot for Birthing Pod curve, but animosity does wear it better

i literally just took out Chancellor of the Forge in favor of Protean Hulk, Avenger of Zendikar usually always spawns more tokes if i pod or chord for 7, but having all 3 isnt a bad idea

urabrask and banner are both things I own that arent in use, they do seem good here for card advantage but im not sure what to cut for them, i definitely will playtest with them a bit

Triumph of the Hordes is nasty, im not a huge fan of infect in edh but ill definitely pick one up for my high end playgroup

also, I havent got any good usage out of the hideaway lands as i would have liked, and gorge does enter tapped a lot of the time, so i will cut those in favor of basic lands until i can acquire a Gaea's Cradle and Taiga xD

thanks again for the input

may your goblin tokens be plentiful

I call my wortie deck "Christmas at Ground Zero". I have it in ultra-budget form now - way different than this one! I kept the actual goblin creatures for krenko, relied more on token generater spells (and targetted removal), and used mana dorks to land wort ASAP (on top of ramp spells). I ended up with more of a duel commander version. But then krenko himself may be better for that.

Have you found wort to be more resilient than krenko? Any difference between the two in duel vs multiplayer? That's why I switched about 5 years ago .... Until I found how much krenko likes the chaos suite (teferi's puzzle box, knowledge pool et. al.). Then I made both. What do you think about krenko and chaosy cards?

October 9, 2017 8:21 p.m.

i think that norin does it better :/ and yea krenko has very little recursion and norin, slobad and daretti usually play with chaos better, it certainly makes it harder for you to burn out to run chaos but i already have a nekusar and norin chaos deck and i just wanted more colors, this deck has the advantage of Regrowth spells, token doublers and insane mana like Food Chain, plus its more versatile with spells such as Heroic Intervention

not to mention resolving Protean Hulk usually wins me the game, and Earthcraft allows me to tap the tokens for mana then sac them to food chain, prospector, skullclamp etc

i played a 1v1 game recently where i played my entire deck by casting a conspired Genesis Wave for 9, getting more than 10 permanents and putting a Past in Flames in graveyard, I then conspired Tooth and Nail to get the 4 6-7 cmc creatures into play with 8x tokens with all 3 token doublers out, i then saced protean hulk to tutor for Craterhoof Behemoth with Coat of Arms out and a total of 380 tokens for 760 power and toughness,

i then sacced around 20 tokens for mana, drew all 20 cards left in my deck with Fecundity, then used the mana to cast past in flames and conspire/Mirari every spell in my deck as well as having all of my creatures etb with purphoros and 8x tokens, come to think of it i could have easily have won with Altar of the Brood for 380 tokens plus the 22 creatures and wort

its more resilient and even faster than krenko in that it has green protectiom and conspired ramp spells, it is a hybrid deck that plays partially like krenko and partially like a storm deck, for example krenko cant cast Empty the Warrens for absurd amounts of mana and double the tokens and mana with green

October 9, 2017 9:02 p.m.

also the biggest difference i noticed upgrading from krenko would probably be that green opens up a ton of card draw spells that can be conspired, and cards like Harmonize or Benefactor's Draught draw much more cards than Cathartic Reunion, due the discard being very high cost when convoked, but as im sure you know, mono red is very lacking in card draw

I really like the deck and am tempted to build it myself. I like the choices you have made for the deck and I can see your dilemma in what to add. I don't usually play red/green myself so I find it hard to make suggestions off hand but you may find Slate of Ancestry interesting with its potential to draw silly amounts of cards. Good work and +1.

Wort, the Raidmother was my first commander build. I wanted to start playing commander for a while back then but never found an interesting commander. After MM16 came out and I saw Wort, the Raidmother I thought to myself: "That is the one! This is the commander I was looking for!".After checking edhrec for tipps I quickly realised, that pretty much everyone was playing Wort, the Raidmother wrongly! Unfortunately my build is not on tappedout.net, so you gotta take my word for it, but my build comes close to yours! The way you use Wort, the Raidmother is exactly the way I imagined it should be played! This commander is deep and hard to figure out. She is in my eyse the best goblin commander there is! You have got a great eye for nice synergy and awesome deck building skills! Love you build, man!!! Huge thumbs up!(by the way, I am usually not the big comment kind of guy. But after checking your build for the like 10th time, I felt like saying a couple of words! )

October 29, 2017 12:13 p.m.

thanks for the compliments and feedback! i did a lot of tuning to get her this far, and im more than satisfied at how explosively powerful she has become!

most games I win out of nowhere, where not even I expected to be able to win that turn, its difficult to pilot for goblins but that's just why I like it! challenging

If you are considering Gaea's Cradle, I would definitely recommend Growing Rites of Itlimoc  Flip as well (or even instead if you don't want to drop a ton of money!). It flips easy and becomes another Cradle land.

Anyway, nice looking deck, man. +1 from me.
