Lightning Crafter Discussion

I'd like to suggest Thornbite Staff because it combos so easily. Krenko, Mob Boss can go infinite, Lightning Crafter can clear out a board, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker can probably do some crazy stuff with it. I would say to have Thornbite Staff instead of Staff of Domination because it's just easier, you don't have to pay 4 every time, he just untaps whenever you sac something. Also you might like Rings of Brighthearth.
Nice deck! Check out my Krenko build: Krenghis Khan

You can also tap Lightning Crafter to deal 3 damage to itself, rather than have a sacrifice outlet. However this means you'll be getting infinite enter the battlefield and leaves the battlefield triggers, instead of infinite damage, so you'll need something that triggers of them.

Id drop Outpost Siege for Purphoros, God of the Forge. Dreamstone Hedron seems a bit expensive. I would replace it with literally any 1-2 CC mana rock (Sol Ring, perhaps?). Ruination seems like it might hurt you a bit. If you wanted to really keep Outpost Siege, you could take out Ruination instead, although where is Shared Animosity?I would also include one, "oops, i win!" combo in there. I've been running Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts. You could run either of the Bushwhackers instead though.
Some additional cards I'd consider removing- Battle Squadron - To expensive! Lightning Crafter - Expensive and why? Blighted Gorge - I think Ramunap Ruins might be a bit better or maybe Scavenger Grounds.
Those are my thoughts for now.

Why Manic Vandal over Tuktuk Scrapper? I see it is 1 CMC less, but if you ran 4x Goblin Warchief like most legacy decks you could easily drop for 1-3 mana in most games, or just Vial it in. Plus, it won't go to the bottom of your deck with a ringleader drop pull.
Krenko, Mob Boss is a 1x staple for most decks now.
You don't see many decks in this format running Warren Instigator since it an RR and there are much rougher choices for a 2 drop for goblins I think like Mogg War Marshal, or obviously Goblin Piledriver.
I agree with the above comment that Goblin Grenade is not good in legacy. I do however, think a 1x Legion Loyalist is worth it to give your other goblins great buffs as a 1 drop, especially piledrivers.
Boggart Mob can get pretty out of control and lets you retrigger matrons and ringleaders with a sac mechanism like Goblin Sledder or as most decks run, 1x Skirk Prospector. This isn't a popular choice, but worth considering. I run it in my RB goblin deck, but thats for casual. The champion effect of Lightning Crafter has the same retrigger potential.
Frogtosser Banneret could help you reduce costs of some of your goblins just like a Goblin Warchief, but you have neither. I think these are important for tribal goblins (most run warchief over frogtosser for the haste/monored).
1-2x Ancient Tomb seems to have dropped off most top8 decklists, but I like running 2 in mine. I run Food Chain Goblins and dirty kitty though, so my mechanic is different (and more vulnerable, but faster) than vial gobs.
Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker is nuts.
As for the sideboard, many people like running Krosan Grip if they splash with green. Also consider Thoughtseize. I also think that Blood Moon like stated above is great for MONORED in the sideboard if you choose to drop black. I think a 1x Goblin King is nice in the sideboard as well. Red Elemental Blast might help in the side as well.

@shrapnel_: Grenzo, Dungeon Warden is fantastic when your hand is empty but have multiple Aether Vials, Rishadan Ports, etc. You end up with a lot of extra mana, but not anything to do with it. Even planting him on turn 2, he still flips every goblin in the deck except Krenko, Mob Boss and Earwig Squad. He's more of a mana spell that puts the bottom goblin of your deck into play.
I used to have the Lightning Crafter combo in here, but took it out because it gets clunky if you don't have anything in play or a critter you want to stay.
I diddn't know Grenzo, Havoc Raiser was a card. I'll have to look into getting one!

Grenzo, Dungeon Warden kind of seems like a slow gamble for the format.
Grenzo, Havoc Raiser is worth considering imo. I think 1x of him will start popping up in legacy decks.
I like and run 2x Ancient Tomb, but people who play gobs have mixed feelings about them.
Sparksmith used to be popular for larger removal, but he hurts like hell. Might save you against reanimator decks and the like since you get more than one use out of him, unlike Gempalm Incinerator.Looks like fun!

Looks like a fun deck! I play legacy goblins as well. It is pretty rare to see the black splash since many of the black cards for goblins aren't as good as the monoreds. I highly suggest since you are running vial to check out food chain goblins and dirty kitty as well for ideas. Food chain is insane in a goblin deck (much more explosive and reliable than vial imo) and dirty kitty is basically an all in red version of goblins and is a blast to play. A few cards to look into:
Mentioned above. Food chain decks run this + Lightning Crafter + Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker for an infinite damage combo that you can get out pretty consistently turn 5, which puts your opponent on a clock.
Crazy good land for goblins, most people run 2-3
You don't see these a lot, but dropping a few in with your warchiefs gives some intense cost reductions
You rarely see these in legacy gobs as well but I think this is an underrated card. Will usually come out for R and let lackeys/piledrivers go through chump blockers. You can drop it on a piledriver before they get their passive buff and he is still unblockable.
In general I would say you should also consider dropping a single Tarfire for a Fodder Launch. Wort, Boggart Auntie is also kind of slow for the format. Looks like fun though. Remember for goblins any non-goblin card hurts your synergy. Looks like a fun deck. I used to play vial, but I think it is too slow for legacy and switched to dirty kitty/food chain.

A hasty clone would be useful if I were looping Lightning Crafter. I may cut Stunt Double (the flash hasn't been proving as beneficial as I originally hoped) or Joiner Adept (it's been mostly a bad draw any hasn't really helped my manabase since I invested in better lands). Are there any others you'd suggest cutting or adding?
