My current Sigarda build. This deck started out as a 1vs1 build and was only recently reworked to better fit onto multiplayer tables.

This deck combines three different strategies from other eternal formats like legacy and modern and in the end tries to win by one-shooting your opponent(s) with a heavily enchanted voltron creature, preferrably Sigarda, Host of Herons :

ENCHANTRESS

draw lots of cards from so called enchantress effects by casting lots of enchantments

HATEBEARS

slow down or hinder your opponent with cards that restrict her/him in her doings

TOOLBOX

use tutors to either advance your own deck's strategy or to find the answers you need for your opponent's threats

Let's break down on the different parts of this deck:

WINCONS Show

While the main goal of this deck is to put lots of enchantments on your commander and one shot your opponents one after the other with Sigarda, Host of Herons there are a few alternate wincons to this strategy in the deck too:

** Avacyn, Angel of Hope ** - An 8/8 flyer on her own is nothing to sniff at and with her built in evasion and indestructibility, she also presents a great target for all the creature based auras in the deck. Some other cards we're playing like Privileged Position or Yavimaya Hollow can serve to protect her from removal even more.

** Sigil of the Empty Throne ** - With a third of our deck being enchantments this card fits the deck's theme perfectly and can make your opponents cry by spitting out masses of 4/4 flying angel tokens.

** Krond the Dawn-Clad ** - Not nearly as good as Avacyn, Angel of Hope for a wincon, but if he sticks and we find something to enchant him he can really ruin our opponent's day!

** Kor Spiritdancer ** - The weakest alternate wincon in this deck as she has no built in protection or evasion. She can get very big very fast with only two or three auras on herself though and her ability to draw us a card for every aura spell we cast can add even more fuel to the fire.

HATEBEARS Show

Creatures, artifacts and enchantments that slow down or hinder our opponent in her/his doings.

** Sigarda, Host of Herons ** - The commander is the deck's first and foremost hatebear! She nullifies any sacrifice effects thus rendering cards like All Is Dust , Diabolic Edict , Innocent Blood totally useless against us.

** Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite ** - Not what I'd call a classic hatebear, but he shuts down most token and swarm strategies. Goblins, Elves, Saprolings all hate this card.

** Gaddock Teeg ** - shuts down almost all mass removal spells and usually is a huge annoyance for all the Timmy players who like to cast big flashy spells

** Grand Abolisher ** - This guy makes us lean back and enjoy our own turns to the max! Once he hits the board all of our opponent's counterspells or other instant shenanigans during our turn are stopped immediately. Very good to cast him as the first spell in a turn we want to go in for the kill on one of our opponents.

** Linvala, Keeper of Silence ** - Shuts down any creature-based activated abilities from my opponents, thus she's the bane of any elf deck :-) She's also a legendary creature and thus part of Captain Sisay 's toolbox.

** Aura of Silence ** - Makes casting artifacts and enchantments more expensive for our opponents and is also a spot removal for an annoying artifact or enchantment.

** City of Solitude ** - Shuts down all counterspells, no more biggering and snickering during other people's turns!

** Dueling Grounds ** - Great against decks that want to attack with more than one creature. Even better if we have Kor Haven online too!

** Moat ** - Prevents our opponents from attacking us with anything that doesn't have flying. A very good card in our deck because our main threats and wincons all have flying and thus are not affected by the Moat .

** Stony Silence ** - You people like mana rocks to gain an advantage on us? We don't! So this card will shut down all of your Sol Ring s, Mana Crypt s, Mana Vault s, Basalt Monolith s and all the combos you want to use them for. Also very good against equipments.

** Torpor Orb ** - EDH players love ETB effects on their creatures to gain instant value once they cast them. This magnificent little artifact really punishes those decks that rely too heavily on ETB effects.

SISAY'S TOOLBOX Show

Sigarda's buddy Captain Sisay has a total of 12 targets in this deck, herself and our commander excluded. Once Sisay is cast and has lost her summoning sicknes we have a variety of options which can be used on the offensive or defensive, whatever the current state of the game requires.

** Avacyn, Angel of Hope ** - alternate wincon (offensive) or board protection (defensive)

** Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite ** - a great help for us if our opponents have amassed an army of little men, also a pump effect for our own team that might help us get in the last few points of damage to finish off our opponent(s)

** Gaddock Teeg ** - shuts down almost all mass removal spells and prevents our opponents from casting any other big, flashy non-creature spells

** Krond the Dawn-Clad ** - alternate wincon and removal on a stick if we have something to enchant him with

** Linvala, Keeper of Silence ** - a hatebear that shuts down any creature-based activated abilities from my opponents. Very helpful, especially against those pesky mana-ramping elves...

** Nylea, God of the Hunt ** - multifunctional, can be a 6/6 indestructible beatstick (if we have devotion) that can pump herself or other members of our team, gives evasion (trample) to our other creatures and is also an enchantment (which is always good in this deck)

** Eiganjo Castle ** - ramp and a little protection for our legendary creatures

** Flagstones of Trokair ** - ramp

** Kor Haven ** - ramp and also stops our opponent's biggest attacker dead in it's tracks, very good with a Dueling Grounds in play

** Okina, Temple to the Grandfathers ** - ramp and pump for our legendary creatures

** Serra's Sanctum ** - a big mana engine for the deck

** Yavimaya Hollow ** - ramp and protection for our creatures

ENCHANTRESSES Show

This is what makes the deck tick, our enchantress effects can provide us with huge card advantage!

** Argothian Enchantress ** - The mother of all enchantresses. With her cmc2 she comes down early and also has built in protection (shroud) against spot removal!

** Eidolon of Blossoms ** - At cmc4 this seems to be the clunkiest of our enchantresses, but being an enchantment all by herself she will trigger the other enchantresses and she will also replace herself immediately once she hits the battlefield.

** Femeref Enchantress ** - I like to call her the reverse enchantress. She is the most valuable protection against boardwipes. Once the board is being wiped she will replace any aura that we stuck onto our creatures' backs with a new card from the top of our library. Thus she prevents us from getting X for 1ed! Also never forget that her ability triggers on EVERY enchantment that goes to the graveyard, so it lets us draw cards too if we use our Seal of Cleansing to destroy our opponent's Mana Reflection !

** Kor Spiritdancer ** - Only triggers when aura spells are cast, which we have only 15 in the deck, but she can also function as an alternative wincon with her ability to grow with each aura we stick on her.

** Mesa Enchantress ** - The basic enchantress in white.

** Verduran Enchantress ** - The basic enchantress in green.

** Satyr Enchanter ** - The basic enchantress in green/white.

** Enchantress's Presence ** - The only enchantress that is not a creature and because of this is usually harder to remove for our opponents.

TUTORS Show

A total of 6 tutors add a lot of consistency to the deck.

** Academy Rector ** - He has to die so that we can get his tutor effect, but then the enchantment is put directly into play! This way the card offers a good rattlesnake effect against boardwipes and helps us retain some board presence if the board is wiped.

** Captain Sisay ** - The woman carrying the toolbox for our deck.

** Eladamri's Call ** - Finds any creature we need and puts it into our hand at instant speed for only 2 mana.

** Enlightened Tutor ** - while this will only tutor up enchantments or artifacts on top of our deck, it costs only 1 mana and has a total of 34 targets in the deck and therefore offers a high versatility. Cast it at the end of your opponent's turn or during your upkeep to be able to use the tutored card immediately.

** Sterling Grove ** - This card is just so good in our deck! It offers protection from spot removal for all other enchantments (which makes it superb alongside Privileged Position ) and it also functions as a tutor for any enchantment we might need.

** Weathered Wayfarer ** - He tutors for all our useful utility lands, great stuff!

SWEEPERS AND SPOT REMOVAL Show

The deck is a bit light on sweepers because we play an enchantment voltron strategy and every classic sweeper will usually hurt ourself more than our opponents. The deck does offer a lot of spot removal, which often fulfills a greater role than just trading 1 to 1 with our opponent's permanents.

** Divine Reckoning ** - Clears most of the board but will let our one voltron creature live. Because of it's flashback ability it can also be played a second time from the graveyard if needed.

** Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite ** - Not what I'd call a classic sweeper, but a great help for us if our opponents have amassed an army of little men. It's also a pump effect for our own team that might help us get in the last few points of damage to finish off our opponent(s).

** Winds of Rath ** - Kills everything that is not enchanted which means it will usually only kill our opponent's stuff because the many auras we are playing can protect our own creatures.

** Aura of Silence ** - A spot removal for our oppoent's pesky enchantments or artifacts that also taxes our opponent's mana supply by making them pay more to cast their artifacts and enchantments.

** Beast Within ** - In EDH I really don't care about giving a 3/3 creature to my opponent as long as I got rid of her/his biggest threat before!

** Dromoka's Command ** - Such amazing versatility all in one card! Spot removal for creatures and enchantments, pump effect and protection against Fireball and friends. And for only 2 mana you get not only one, but two of those effects simultaneously!

** Krond the Dawn-Clad ** - A big beater that becomes removal on a stick if we find something to enchant him with.

** Path to Exile ** - Second best spot removal for creatures in white. I don't really like that it ramps my opponent, but the ability to exile my opponent's biggest creature threat at instant speed for only one mana is more than worth it.

** Qasali Pridemage ** - Kills our opponent's best enchantment or artifact and if our opponent doesn't have a viable target for it then he helps pumping our voltron creature with his exalted ability.

** Seal of Cleansing ** - Spot removal for enchantments or artifacts that also draws us a card upon being cast if we have one of our enchantresses in play.

** Seal of Primordium ** - see Seal of Cleansing

** Swords to Plowshares ** - Simply the best spot removal for creatures.

** Tectonic Edge ** - Oops there goes your Maze of Ith or your Kor Haven and now we are ready to beat face with our voltron creature again!

RAMP AND MANA DOUBLERS Show

Our ramp spells help us power out Sigarda, Host of Herons one turn or even two turns earlier or reach the mana to play our big spells earlier in the game. Mana doublers ensure that we are able play all the cards we draw from our enchantresses and don't have to keep them in our hand due to mana issues.

** Cultivate ** - Adds one additional mana into play andensures we have another one in hand to play immediately after. Rips the basic lands out of our library to smoothen out our future draws.

** Kodama's Reach ** - see Cultivate

** Exploration ** - If we have this in our starting seven we are usually able to make a big leap in front immediately and put pressure on our opponents by playing our commander as early as turn 3!

** Fertile Ground ** - Early ramp which also draws us a card if we have an enchantress in play.

** Utopia Sprawl ** - Early ramp which also draws us a card if we have an enchantress in play.

** Wild Growth ** - Early ramp which also draws us a card if we have an enchantress in play.

** Captain Sisay ** - Our toolbox girl can also be used to ramp when we tap her to get a legendary land out of our library. Especially when we have 3 or more enchantments on the field and fetch Serra's Sanctum with her our mana supply will get a huge boost!

** Herald of the Pantheon ** - Makes my own enchantments cheaper to cast and the life gain is a nice little bonus. Even more useful once I have set up my enchantress draw engine as the Herald makes it way more easier for me to cast multiple enchantments during my turns.

** Weathered Wayfarer ** - He is no classical ramp card as he only functions when our opponent has the same amount or more lands than we do. This will at least help us keep up if our opponents try to get ahaed by playing more lands than we do. His ability to search for any one land, including our mana booster number one Serra's Sanctum , can greatly power up our mana supply.

** Serra's Sanctum ** - The deck's number one mana booster! This card becomes better and better once the game progresses and we manage to put more and more enchantments onto the battlefield.

** Mirari's Wake ** - Our only mana doubler in the deck that also pumps all of our creatures.

RECURSION Show

I love getting more than just one use out of my cards, so I like being able to reuse cards that are lying in my graveyard. Recursion is even more important because opponents might get to X for 1 us because of our enchantment voltron strategy we are playing.

** Bala Ged Recovery  ** - I play this card over Eternal Witness because of the Torpor Orb we have in the deck and because you can also play it as a land in the early game. Brings back any card we might need again, very useful.

** Replenish ** - Brings back all of our enchantments that have been destroyed by our opponents or have been used up by us ( Sterling Grove , Aura of Silence , etc.)

** Mistveil Plains ** - Puts the cards back into our library where we can extract them again with the multiple tutors we are playing. Together with Captain Sisay this is a great recursion engine.
