Brienne of Tarth is having a bad day.

She fled Westeros for Paliano, took a new name, and was recognized for her skill and swordsmanship. The ghostly Brago, King Eternal appointed her head of his Kingsguard. She served her king loyally, guarding him from the many plots and conspiracies of the High City.

But what did she find in this new land? The same betrayal, treachery, and murder that marred Westeros. In the place of Cersei Lannister was the treasonous viper Queen Marchesa. Every day, Brienne's rage burned brighter when she saw the crown on the brow of the Black Rose - a crown that the usurper had stolen at the point of a knife.

Brienne once thought that she could serve an honorable monarch. But now she knows better. All monarchs are corrupt, because their absolute power corrupts absolutely. Their power relies on deceit and oppression, and thus can never be legitimate.

Only at the edge of a sword can the people of Paliano find freedom - and Brienne of Tarth knows that it will be her sword at the throat of the Black Rose.

Long live the rebellion! A thousand voices from a thousand worlds shout as one:

Death to the Traitor Queen!

But without an army, Brienne will never triumph. Accordingly, she has traveled across the Known World to recruit only the best soldiers to her cause to fight for freedom from the Black Rose's oppressive regime.

Brimaz, King of Oreskos and Darien, King of Kjeldor have pledged their support. Their disciplined soldiers swell the ranks of Brienne's army, led by their mighty general Marton Stromgald .

The Wildlings are not accustomed to bowing to any King. Their Berserkers' Onslaught will prove invaluable in the fight ahead. Even the Giants have answered her call, led by the mighty Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs.

Of her own accord, the Archangel Aurelia, the Warleader swore fealty to Brienne. She's never been the religious type, but she welcomes the aid of these servants of the Seven in her fight against tyranny. Others among her forces worship exotic gods from Asshai and beyond, such as Iroas, God of Victory.

Although Brienne despises Cersei Lannister, she admits that Wildfire can indeed be a good distraction. The destruction of the Great Sept of Baelor led her to consider the tactical advantages of such diversions. It would be a shame if some of Paliano's architecture was lost to a Magmatic Chasm

And of course, no conquest in Westeros would be complete without the inclusion of dragons! Daenerys Targaryen personally loaned Brienne her Scourge of the Throne and Hellkite Charger to dominate the skies of Paliano: after all, she has a vested interest in destabilizing her rival Marchesa!

Brienne's army is mighty. But will they be strong enough to stand against the traitorous forces of the usurper Marchesa?

Probably not. This is Game of Thrones, after all! There are no happy endings here.

I started building this when a friend in the LPS mentioned how Adriana's art resembled Brienne. From that point, I was hooked, and I had to try and stitch together their stories. A deck quickly evolved, and I'm proud of the results, haha!

I've wanted to build a Boros token swarm deck for a while, and I like Adriana's focus on swinging wide. I know that she's gotten a bad reception on the internet as a "dumb combat" general, but I think that she is an interesting multiplayer general because she forces you to divide your attacks, rather than swinging all-out at one player.

The important consideration in building around her is that cards like Relentless Assault let you get double the bonus, since the first combat's Melee trigger continues to buff the creature during the second combat.

Sword of Feast and Famine goes infinite with Relentless Assault or Hellkite Charger, and Mentor of the Meek gives this deck some of the draw power it is desperately lacking. Boros colors do have strong removal, though I may add a Sunforger later, since I'm basically playing everything in its package already.

Infinite/pseudo-infinite combos:

Sword of Feast and Famine+Aggravated Assault/Hellkite Charger

Sword of Feast and Famine+Eldrazi Displacer+Aurelia, the Warleader

Breath of Fury+Hero of Bladehold (which allows a T3 combo-kill against any number of opponents).

Mana Echoes+Eldrazi Displacer+Beetleback Chief/Mogg War Marshal

Mana Echoes+(token generator)+X Spell

This was, quite literally, the first Adriana list on the internet. It is meant to be a fun and flavorful deck, so it probably won't end up being super competitive. It needs much more tuning, of course, and significant playtesting (not to mention that the landbase isn't finished, obviously).

I'll update this deck and its description further when I have more experience with how the deck plays. Any comments, suggestions, or +1s are appreciated! :)

We must outvote the decks headed by the wicked Queen Marchesa!
