I forgot all my spells so its time to get stompy with U.

Ruric Thar is known for his punishment of casting non-creature spells, well move over for the blue "Oops all Creatures" hero, Braids, Conjurer Adept . While Braids can help drop some BIG heat early, she's not necessary for this deck to function. The biggest benefit of dropping Braids early is to drop a ramp creature or someone who will give quick value like Arcanis the Omnipotent or Archivist .

Can be a little hard to find ramp in mono-U but we pull it off with staples like Burnished Hart , Scaretiller and Solemn Simulacrum as well as some mighty fine dorks like Apprentice Wizard .

Finding removal that was completely based on the creatures was quite a bit more difficult and sometimes too forecasted like the removal you see on an Aethersquall Ancient .

Some tricks have to be done, and while control magic isn't my favorite, I did put a few Siren Stormtamer -type effects in the deck.

We even have some limited tutors. While Noble Benefactor isn't the best since it also gives your opponents cards, it can at least be a good politics card giving you or currently friendly opponents the opportunity to get an answer they need with the current board state. Seahunter will get us our meager amount of 5 other merfolk, but they focus nicely toward all aspects, like removal, ramp and trickery.

And finally lets face it, we're not going to need any real help with drawing cards. This is blue we're talking about after all, even if it is just a creature deck.
