Why does the sideboard exist, and why exactly eleven cards?

Why do you get a legendary permanent of each type? I see this not as a restriction, but as broadening the gap between ultra cards, strong cards, and decent cards. If one person brings Silent Submersible , Tawnos, Urza's Apprentice , Paradox Engine , and Sword of Feast and Famine , having those cards always available is going to leave almost no chance for whatever was cobbled together from Dusk Legion Dreadnought , Radha, Heir of Keld, Grimoire of the Dead , and Demonmail Hauberk . The consistency is incredibly high, and I'm sure a more extreme example could be easily created.

What's the purpose of the baubles and trinkets?

Since there are loss restrictions, a dedicated Stax or Turbo Fog deck could potentially make the whole game virtually unwinnable for anyone. Is this a viable strategy, or should it be discouraged?

Been playing/watching a lot of Subnautica lately. We have one submarine that I know of in MTG: Silent Submersible. Make me one that's blue and has at least one other color, and does submariney things in the kinds of terrain that color combination usually provides.

I'm working on a vehicle ensoul deck with a full set of Animating Faerie . Arts become 4/4 and when they're crewed they become bigger. 7/7 flying Smuggler's Copter ? 6/7 Silent Submersible and both providing card advantage!?

Testing still and only have 100 modern budget at LGS so...

Merchant Ship (This is is about $10 on tcgplayer right now I checked)

Talas Air Ship , Pirate Ship , Ghost Ship and Skeleton Ship are super cheap

There you may want to look at vehicles Consulate Dreadnought , Fell Flagship , Dusk Legion Dreadnought , Shadowed Caravel , Silent Submersible . Skysovereign, Consul Flagship , Sleek Schooner and a few more I may have missed.

Also Ixalan and rivals of Ixalan had a lot blue and black pirates and there are a few more other options but I think you could go vehicles and hit your theme on a overall cheap budget

Consider more cards that can help blue devotion, give you value when your creatures are unblockable or be upgrades for cards here? Budget cards ($4 or less each) to consider adding:

Hey there! I just wanted to point out the Vehicle Silent Submersible is treated as a "creature" rather than an "artifact" when looking at a decklist.

Awesome concept for a deck! First thing I'd suggest is to add in a couple artifacts that help you ramp. Whether they be mana rocks like Mind Stone and Prismatic Lens , or cards that that gets lands out of your deck like Solemn Simulacrum or Armillary Sphere . That should help the deck run smoother and help you cast things quicker.

I've got quite a few suggestions for cards if you're interested;

Karn, the Great Creator would be perfect for this deck! It helps you by slowing down your opponent's artifacts and absorbing some damage when you get a decent board. Yes his +1 will make quite a few of your vehicles smaller, but at least you don't have to worry about setting up a board when you have him in your hand early on.

Mizzium Tank , Silent Submersible and Parhelion II should be great includes to the deck if you aren't having mana problems.

Divine Visitation could be a good include in the deck. You'll lose some of your Servo/Thopter synergy, but it makes it easier for you to crew your vehicles while having a separate win condition where you just use the Angels to kill your opponents.

Ugin, the Ineffable seems like an awesome toolkit card in the deck. He helps you ramp by reducing the cost of all your artifacts. He creates tokens that both help you crew your vehicles and give you card advantage when they die! He's also got removal on him to boot.

I'm brainstorming a bunch of other suggestions but I'll leave it there for now. I love this deck! I may try it out myself here soon. I hope the suggestions help.
