Short intro

Due to the fact it isn't limited to redundant useless allies or color pairs, it seems like it is currently the best food chain outlet in the command zone at WUBRG (5c )...

As soon as you go off with foodchain you're good to go due to cascade and not needing anything else... you do not need additional win conditions that would be otherwise dead cards outside of the combo. It's far more resilient less redundant and adds more consistency to run the Best in slot cards (BiS) unlike General Tazri or Niv-Mizzet Reborn + added bonus of backup plans to make it even more resilient. But be sure not to jam it with dead cards like lab man now that we don't need to at all...

The win-win part

• Play out Food Chain with one of the 3 creatures mentioned below in exile or in squee's case anywhere...

• Cast and sac these creatures for infinite colored mana = ( Eternal Scourge , Misthollow Griffin , Squee, the Immortal )

Cast and sac the commander to cascade your entire deck except for lands... (this is a may trigger so you can leave certain spells till last but you can still remove your lands with Ad Nauseam , Tainted Pact or Demonic Consultation ...)

From here on out you can:

• +1 Jace After you've emptied your deck of spells and cast consul/tainted pact/ad naus on the lands left in the deck...

• loop Any spell trough twister loops / memory's journey/ nox revival / Narset's reversal and any spell you wish to loop with and put back in the deck to cascade them again...

• (backup with forbidden tutors and Jace + new CanLands that let you draw late game!!!)

• Swan army loops... (trough recursions put back in deck spells like memory's journey, twister and nox revival)

• Extract everyone... (trough recursions put back in deck spells like memory's journey, twister and nox revival)

If your Food chain gets countered or destroyed and turns up in the graveyard we have; Memory's Journey + Regrowth + Noxious Revival + Yawgmoth's Will to give it another go!

Exile me!

The “Forbidden Tutors” Demonic Consultation + Tainted Pact + Plunge into Darkness ) Finds Food chain while exiling the creatures needed to fuel FC most of the time and can win with a backup plan Jace +1. The probability calculation of this depends on how many cards are already out of the deck as the chances to hit FC with consul grow higher the later the games goes on...

Go hard or go home... demonic consul is an rng card so if it screws you over = lose the game for you but just DO IT don't let YOUR DREAMS BE DREAMS...

How to fuel the food chain:

Manipulate Fate , Foresight , Extract

These all exile your Eternal Scourge , The exile 3 is very efficient though because you can exile your Other exile cards as they end up being dead cards otherwise like Foresight + Extract with your Manipulate Fate + your Misthollow and Scourge, so you won’t end up drawing it later thus thinning the deck out of dead draws...

Other niche exile tricks:

Most of these are commonly known and used from time to time when you have access to it;

Chrome Mox and Gemstone Caverns Exile anything but can also get rid of your Food chain creatures as early as the start of the game.

Force of Will can pitch Misthollow Griffin .

Plunge into Darkness is very balsy and can go very deep but just DO IT!!!

An early Necropotence can solve everything... Discard your foodchain creatures!!! Land + Ritual + Necro? you can often go very deep with this 15+ in the early game and sculpting your hand and refilling it later one... if you haven't taken damage I like to pay half of my life each time and stopping when you see fit or have all the cards you need... try and stay above ~8hp~ for spells, Abilities, and lands that deal damage to you. ex git probe/crypt/can lands

Why no X ?

Vexing Shusher : borders on unnecessary with all the protection we have. flex slot for blue only meta.

Llanowar Wastes you in 2k19 boi ? we got an upgraded Canland!

Yavimaya Coast you in 2k19 boi ? we got an upgraded Canland!

Riftsweeper : twister, memory's journey, nox revival are already in the deck and deal well with exiled Yard states if you haven't lost everything to it + a bunch of protection and interaction now possible should offer reasonable combo turns for food chain.. having it get exiled is your own fault and backup plans like consul jace or tainted jace should be looked at from this point on...

Gilded Drake : Okay flex slot. not necessary!

Laboratory Maniac : Don't need two dead card slots... Jace is fine and doesn't suffer from abrupt decay... You make Infinite mana of any color anyway so casting this is always only done when winning anyway. and it doesn't care if it goes to the yard or exile either as it's just one of many win conditions... now that we don't have useless allies or color pairs :)
