For better or for worse, optimizations turned this into blue farm best cedh combos, which can get stale. I know people used Jenson Carthalion, Druid Exile as the 5 color lurrus companion for a while, but Ezio's card draws is more valuable and Lurrus recovers combos. If that interest you, read on, but look elsewhere for Ezio assassin tribal.

I built this deck after grinding through one of the games during a very depressed day in June. I really don't like how Wizards of the coast and Ubisoft have been milking their cash cows in the 2020s, but Assassin's Creed and has a special place in my heart, playing with friends on a low resolution screen in the 2000s.

How to win with this deck

  • use ezio to draw cards or get free cast if you have your commander based on your first 8 cards.

  • advance your card advantage until it is fitting to win

  • Ad Nauseam will get most of the cards needed to win the game.

  • go for the infamous Hermit Druid card to mill yourself out and win with Thassa's oracle and dread return with two creatures out, one of which will be narcomeba.

  • Thassa's Oracle is just that good: pair it with demonic consultation or tainted pact or divining witch to win.

  • underworld breach + brain freeze + lotus petal / lion's eye diamond. Go for this combo a lot.

  • lurrus revives combos and board wipes. Notably gets back Underworld Breach if you've milled yourself out with Hermit Druid

Tips:

  • I've been finding I tutor for Hermit Druid or Ad Nauseam a lot, so building up ways to protect those or get these in hand.

  • The deck has a decent amount of stopping power. Try to have those in hand when necessary.
