Main goal is to gain life and stand strong for a couple of rounds in the beginning. After round 5-7 you start gaining enough life to efficiently mill with Hope Estheim. Even if Hope Estheim gets removed too often, you'll be able to create strong creatures (e.g. Elenda's Hierophant) with help of ETB lifegain creatures (e.g. Hinterland Sanctifier).

You win the game through milling out your opponents, damage with Aetherflux Reservoir, damage with strong creatures like Elenda's Hierophant, and some other weird unlikely but possible combinations (e.g. giving Excalibur II to Silent Hallcreeper before transforming it.)

Even though is a lot more dominant in this deck (like 75% of the cards), I've had few mana troubles with this deck with the current manabase.
