Ultimate copy shenanigans.

Late insight: Clones often cost 4. So using them to copy something that costs less than 4 is bad. Most of the good targets start at 5. Clones at 4+ and originals at 5+ means almost everything else needs to be 3 or less.

I’ve always been a little unsure what this deck is all about. Is it competitive? Goofy? Expensive? This is deck currently has Carpet of Flowers (casual all-Star!) and Simic Keyrune (you can clone it!).

So let’s try to focus the deck a little better:

  • The goal of the deck is to have fun with unexpected and/or superlinear clone shenanigans
  • This deck aims to win via a big swing or mill
  • The clone shenanigans are unlikely to start before T4, so we will employ some tools to slow down fast starts. Efficient answers, stax lite, etc.
