Yup, things that get lands into play are preferred like wayfarer's bauble, Solemn Simulacrum, Scampering Surveyor, and Dauntless Scrapbot. Scampering Surveyor is neat because it grabs Planar Nexus which activates the tron lands.

I like Fountainport, better rate and more options than Springjack Pasture. I played Mind's Eye, but it felt too slow and I replaced it with Eye of Vecna. Idk if I'm ballsy enough to play The Deck of Many Things.

Gotta be careful with the planewalkers because I'm also running The Immortal Sun. I like how Ugin, Eye of the Storms and Ugin, the Ineffable still do stuff If the suns out.

I'm never going to have the mana to play Grazz AND hold up three to Mithril Coat. Unless your creature is already a god Tyrite Sanctum seems really slow/bad to me :| lol. Too much mana to hold up and you got to go down a land. I think Diamond City does a better impression.

I think I'd go Winding Canyons over Emergence Zone but you already gave me the army in a can at flash speed with Spawning Bed.

The best card in the deck is mystic forge. Marketback Walker can be free to pla off the top with Grazz out Imma swap Darksteel Myr in for Rug of Smothering becuase rug hurts chaining things off the top with forge. I like the tiny creatures that have a little protection bult in like Soldevi Sentry, and Darksteel Myr. They stick around after a board wipe and can be made big again.

I'm experimenting with Cauldron of Souls for some bwipe protection but farewell and vandalblast will always be a bane of this deck’s existence.

Apologies in advance if these cards are all terrible, I have a fondness for questionable cards!

Not sure if it's truly better than a Waste very often, but Spawning Bed is pretty much a free roll, right? If you draw it late game you can make 15 power for 7 mana via a land (and your Commander). There is also Springjack Pasture, which can repeatedly make a 5/3 for you for 5 mana, not bad if you're low on cards IMHO.

Even weirder, if Graaz is out Inkmoth Nexus is 5 power and still have flying, so it's a 2 shot kill, and a one-shot if you can give it Doublestrike.

Maybe Deserted Temple? It's great with your Mishra's Workshop, or something like Scorched Ruins if you want backup targets.

I'm not sure if it's too slow, but Urza's Cave exists and seems decent to find Factory.

If you ever want a colourless creature removal option maybe Transmogrifying Wand? 2 power is REALLY bad vs your deck, not quite enough to kill a Juggernaut, let alone your Commander, and you do get 3 uses before it's empty.

Thanks for posting this, Graaz is such a crazy Commander!

@legendofa I looked through Battle For Zendikar and Oath of the Gatewatch last night. I found one or two good ones, and a bunch of questionables. I’ll list everything I found, but you’ll have to decide how far you want to take the first person ideology. With the eldrazi it’s tough sometimes to distinguish what’s what—do tentacles count? What about other tendril type appendages? Are looking sure we’re looking through their eyes? Do they even have eyes?? You have your work cut out for you, ha.

Complete Disregard I think this one’s close enough to normal to include.

Turn Against should be exactly what you’re looking for

Questionable Cards:

Demon's Grasp angle is pretty wide, a little too wide

Munda, Ambush Leader are we looking from the perspective of the Eldrazi that’s getting its tentacles lopped off? I can’t tell

Pathway Arrows I don’t think this is 1st person, but you decide

Reckless Cohort is a lot like Munda. I don’t really know if we’re seeing this from the monster’s eyes or not.

Serpentine Spike I’m in favor of this one. It’s a long tentacle and not a hand, but otherwise I feel it fits your criteria well.

Spawning Bed can’t tell if the camera is from the viewpoint of one of the skittering little guys or just a low action shot.

Crush of Tentacles Borderline, but I think it’s suitable. Up to you, of course.

Shoulder to Shoulder a lot like Munda and Reckless Cohort. Hard to distinguish body parts and perspectives.

Spatial Contortion I don’t think it counts but I’m not 100%. The big hands coming from offscreen are positioned so that we would see the torso/head of whatever they belong to, but we don’t. So idk what’s going on here.

Edit—forgot to check against your list, ignore any duplicates please.

I actually had Foundry at one point but replaced it with Factory since it is objectively better (1 mana less to activate).

Inkmoth Nexus is a bit too pricey for this deck and I don't like to run Infect but Blinkmoth Nexus and Mutavault are good ideas that I've passed over. I'll have to add it in sometime during a playtest run. I think I'd probably replace Spawning Bed even though it creates more tokens it's a pricey activate (although the tokens do give mana for other stuff) or Cradle of the Accursed with them if I do!

Thanks!

I think you should cut: Brutalizer Exarch, Conduit of Ruin, Frost Titan, Giant Adephage, Myr Battlesphere, Oblivion Sower, Pelakka Wurm, Phyrexian Ingester, Rashmi, Eternities Crafter, Rattleclaw Mystic, Sagu Mauler, Simic Sky Swallower, Sphinx Ambassador, Stalking Vengeance, Tornado Elemental, Plasm Capture, Pandemonium, Sunken Hope, Tezzeret the Seeker, Chromatic Lantern, Darksteel Ingot, Disaster Radius, Explosive Vegetation, Heat Shimmer, Rude Awakening, and Spelltwine. As for lands, I do think you should replace: Izzet Boilerworks, Spawning Bed, and Temple of the False God.

I think you should add: Temur Sabertooth, Genesis Ultimatum, Etali, Primal Storm, Skyshroud Claim, Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, Sakura-Tribe Elder, Chaos Warp, Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient, Terror of the Peaks, Kodama of the East Tree, Reclamation Sage, Kogla, the Titan Ape, Consecrated Sphinx, Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, Wood Elves, Ilharg, the Raze-Boar, Diluvian Primordial, Prime Speaker Zegana, Release to the Wind, Return of the Wildspeaker, Nature's Lore, Three Visits, Garruk's Uprising, Guardian Project, Unnatural Growth, and Arcane Signet.

I do think one option that you have is replacing all signets with mana dorks like Birds of Paradise, Llanowar Elves, and Elvish Mystic

If you are able to find more slots, I think you should consider: Hullbreaker Horror, Thryx, the Sudden Storm (dependent on count of spells with 5 cmc or more), Soothsaying, Mulldrifter, Beast Whisperer (dependent on final count of creatures), Rishkar's Expertise, Turntimber Symbiosis  Flip, See the Unwritten, Balefire Dragon, Scourge of the Throne, Bane of Progress (I feel like you do not have a ton of high value artifacts or enchantments that would cause this to cripple you), Momir Vig, Simic Visionary, and Genesis Storm.

Also, Deceiver of Form is in because I'm on Spawning Bed and Skittering Invasion . Just a fun combo I enjoy pulling off, suboptimal if you want more power in the deck.

Saccox Believe it or not, I considered all of those already. I found that Convoke wasn’t ideal because sometimes I would need the removal in early turns before getting too many creatures out, and with Seraph, I would have enough tokens to win before playing it. Sacred Cat was passed over because the other one drops don’t require you to pay for the token, and the game doesn’t last long enough to build up the mana needed for Spawning Bed so it doesn’t give enough advantage to justify the chance of missing out on the turn 3 Spectral Procession. I love these cards and wish I could have made them work with the deck, but unfortunately they didn’t fit as well as I hoped they would. It’s good to see that someone else had a similar thought process though.
