"The sky whispered to her. The rivers, the trees, the grass, the moon. All whispered glorious truth.

For so long I have listened to the whispers of liars, and the world has suffered. Now she was listening to truth. She knew it was truth because every whisper said the same thing, so unlike the chaotic, conflicting prayers she had heard for hundreds of years. Why did I not realize how inconsistent these mortal creatures are? Their words always change. No matter, now. Now she understood.

She looked at the moon, and the moon whispered such beautiful words. All will burn. All will bleed. Avacyn repeated the words to herself, a soothing song filling her head with joy. All will burn. All will bleed. She laughed and smiled as her angels continued the great work in the burning village."

--Magic Story: A Gaze Blank and Pitiless

All will burn

This is actually the great great granddaughter of my very first Commander Deck. Once Upon a Time, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight was the commander. It was slow and a bit crude, but it's hard to deny the impact Gisela had when she hit the table. Later Aurelia, the Warleader took up the lead. Leagues faster than Gisela, Aurelia made for a great aggro commander. Then Archangel Avacyn   was printed and there was no question who the rightful commander was.

All will Bleed

This deck is for casual games with groups. It's aimed at being flavorful and fun, but also strong.

I recently found Daedalus19876's deck Judgment Day: Avacyn the Purifier EDH [PRIMER]. I was pleased to see some of the same ideas in both our decks, but I have to give credit where it is due. This deck, is what made me realize how powerful the Avacyn, the Purifier side could be. I want this deck to make use of every aspect of Avacyn and the truth is, before seeing this deck, I did not give her Flip side the attention it deserved.

The deck has mostly Angel's and Humans, which fits the favor of the Church of Avacyn, but with Eldritch Moon I added a bit of that Eldrazi Flair. Brisela, Voice of Nightmares is too awesome and flavorful for me to ignore. Casting Emrakul, the Promised End the turn after someone manages to kill my Avacyn, just feels right.

Boros has strong equipment cards that help make Avacyn into a mean flying voltron, but also give crazy fun options like Sunforger to pull instants or Basilisk Collar to make Avacyn's flip amazing.
