First attempt at a cEDH deck.

The idea of the deck is to soft control the game by disrupting combos then getting decree of silence and solemnity into to play. The idea is similar to flash hulk, but you flash in academy rector instead. You run a bunch of tutors to get it in the order you want. With your commander being colorless you can cast it with your large mana rocks.

The idea is to constantly put pressure by playing a lot of two card combos and constantly countering their stuff while you ramp and get your pieces with tutors. It is very much a first draft and will be improved with more testing.

Card Reasoning:

Ramp: main mana dorks are neeeded to ramp as early as possible, you want to be able to play your commander as soon as possible to pull out your commander asap. Once you get him out you pull out the lands you need. Because the commander is colorless your able to use more lands that are colorless then normal. but because of the high concentration of counterspells you want a blue source as soon as possible. So ramping the commander out as soon as you can is imperative. You run the main "big mana" rocks like mana crypt, mana vault, grim monolith and sol ring. Green sun's Zenith can fetch druid arbor early on and seedborn muse late game to be able to have as many counterspells as possible.

Counterspells: The deck relies on locking your opponents out of the game as soon as you can. In doing so you have to counter their wincons. This deck is all about having the game flow your way. Other cards you need to counter are artifact lockouts. Cards such as nullrod, Karn, the great creator and stony silence need to be countered or removed. the deck runs 10 counterspells with narset reversal. I do not own mana drain or else that would be in the deck over counterspell.

Locks: There is an abundance of soft locks in the deck. Main ones are: Narset with wheels, Narset reversal with time spells, and the main one is Decree of silence and Solemnity. In order for it to work you need to have solemnity out first then you can flash academy rector not pay the cost and get decree out. You run soft tax effects like rhystic study, mystic remora, Silent arbitor, Ghostly prison and mana tithe to help with digging, stalling and mana.

Tutors: You want to run as many tutors as you own for enchantments and Creatures. You want to be able to stack the deck to have your commander get the most value out of of his ability. Because counterspells and golos is a non-combo you want your top out as soon as you can do stack the deck the way you want. Cards you can add if you own them are wordly tutor and imperial seal. Timetwister is also a card you can add to add the cards back to the deck. I do not personally own those cards or else i would consider them.

Win-cons: Main wincon is Palinchron and deadeye navigator. Once you have infinite mana you can play your whole deck and take 5-6 turns back to back. If you want infinite turns you can add nexus of fate and beacon of tomorrow. Once you have your infinite turns you can spam dark depths and thespian stage with yawgoth will. Having two or three 20/20 is enough to close a game out quickly.

Lands: Because your commander is colorless you have more time to get your colors out. You focus on fetching the any color lands and dark depths if you have thespian stage or solemnity out. A big card for the deck is Cascading Cataracts. This land cannot be destroyed when mass land destruction comes out or spot removal. This allows you to translate your large rocks into WUBRG for your commander ability or any color combination. This should be the first land you fetch with your rocks out. I run shock lands because thats what i had on hand but replacing any of them with og duels is better. The main colors to focus on is Blue and Green as those are your counters and your ramp. I only run 5 basic snow lands in case of blood moon or ruination with no counter spells.

Other Spells: Mirari's wake can be used for infinite mana with Palinchron without deadeye navigator. You can run High tide as well if you prefer to go that route. Prismatic Omen helps with perfect mana fixing and exploration helps with ramp. Carpet of flowers helps get an abundance of mana quickly once you set up Prismatic Omen.

Weaknesses: Main weaknesses are other counterspells, Abrupt decay, Artifact locks,

Cards to consider:

Wordly tutor, Lim-Dul Vault, Grim Tutor, Imperial Seal and Cruel Tutor : if you want to go more into the combo you can use this more more deck manipulation.

Defense of the Heart: If you want to try to cheat out the combo before you have your lock into place you can use this card to do so.

Mana Drain: the best counterspell and should be in the deck.

Leyline of Anticipation: this card can be interesting for setting up your combo's on your opponent's turn.

Win-cons: With your tutor's in place you can stack the combos you want in the order your want. This deck spends alot of the time making everyone play the game you want till you can lock them out of the combo turn with either solemnity + decree or silence. You can replace solemnity and decree of silence with teferi, time raveler or grand arbitrator, though it will not be as hard of a lock but easier to preform.

This deck is very much in beta and will be tested more thoroughly when I get more time.
