I started this build as a Grimgrin zombie tribal deck. The change over to a heavy combo build was inspired by MaelstromX over at MTGSalvation (I can't get the link to the mgts thread to work for some reason). My take on this build is tweaked more for ground combat and consequently leans more towards a zombie tribal theme (what that really means is I can't afford to run out and buy all the expensive cards at once). It retains most of the combos, but consistency suffers by a noticeable margin. A strictly casual group is going to absolutely hate your guts for jamming this many combos into a deck, but this build will preform poorly in a highly competitive environment. It's pretty fun when your meta is somewhere between the two.

Combos

The combos listed here include those possible with Phyrexian Altar. I do not currently own this card (and you'll notice it's not even in my deck list as a proxy), but plan to acquire it as soon as possible. Ii's included in the combo discussion anyway. If you have one, pick a card from the chopping block and run altar instead. With the way some cards are interchangeable in different combos, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if someone finds some that I missed.

Storm Combos:

• Rooftop Storm + Sedraxis Alchemist = Infinite Storm
• Rooftop Storm + Gravecrawler + any sac outlet = Infinite Storm
• Rooftop Storm + Phyrexian Altar + Relentless Dead = Infinite Storm
• Rooftop Storm + Cloudstone Curio + any 2 zombies = Infinite Storm
• Phyrexian Altar + Gravecrawler = Infinite Storm

life loss/drain combos:

• Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Altar + Vengeful Dead/Plague Belcher/Diregraf Captain = Infinite Life Loss
• Gravecrawler + Rooftop Storm + Vengeful Dead/Plague Belcher/Diregraf Captain + any sac outlet = Infinite Life Loss
• Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrack = Infinite Mill and Life Loss
• Rooftop Storm + Cloudstone Curio + Gray Merchant of Asphodel + any other zombie = Infinite Life Drain
• Crypt Ghast + Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Altar + Rooftop Storm + any other zombie = Infinite Life Drain

• Grave Titan + Ashnod's Altar + Phyrexian Altar + Nim Deathmantle = Infinite Coloured Mana
• Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Altar + Rooftop Storm + any other zombie = Infinite Coloured Mana
• Gravecrawler + Ashnod's Altar + Rooftop Storm + any other zombie = Infinite Colourless Mana

Infinite Mill:

• Altar of the Brood + Gravecrawler + Rooftop Storm/Phyrexian Arena = Infinite Mill
• Altar of the Brood + Sedraxis Alchemist + Rooftop Storm = Infinite Mill
• Altar of the Brood + Cloudstone Curio + any 2 zombies = Infinite Mill

Infinite 2/2s:

• Grave Titan + Ashnod's Altar + Nim Deathmantle = Infinite Zombies
• Gravecrawler + Diregraf Colossus + Rooftop Storm/Phyrexian Altar = Infinite Zombies

Good value plays that don't necessarily go infinite:

• Zombie Master + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth = hilarity
• Rooftop Storm + Havengul Lich + Sidisi, Undead Vizier = 1 mana repeatable tutor
• Fleshbag Marauder + Havengul Lich + Rooftop Storm = 1 mana repeatable each player sacrifices a creature
• Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet + Ashnod's Altar + Gravecrawler + any other zombie. It takes BB to loop, but leaves you with a beefed up lifelinker.
• Withered Wretch + Ashnod's Altar + Gravecrawler = can exile a high number of problematic cards from your opponents graveyards. Can use Cemetery Reaper instead, but costs more and only hits creatures, gives you 2/2s though.
• Partial assembly of the infinite damage combo mentioned above: Throne of the God-Pharaoh + Faces of the Past + sac outlet + zombie army = tap and untap at will for massive damage. Replace Throne with Shepherd of Rot and you can probably kill the table.

Oh and if you fail to assemble any of those there's always the back up plan of smashing face with your massive undead army.
