Maybeboard

Have you ever wanted to doddle so hard that your opponents accuse you of not doing anything?! Have you ever grown tired of people winning games before turn 15?! Have you ever been disappointed about winning before you have 19 lands in play?!?!?! Well if so then this is the deck for you!

I really enjoy the commander format, but never wanted to spend a ton of money on the format, so I started with a $160 deck and have worked on it over time to be even more doddling, ramping, and drawing fun!

The Ramp: Skyshroud Claim, Explosive Vegetation, Kodama's Reach, Cultivate, Sol Ring, Hunting Wilds , Thawing Glaciers, Chromatic Lantern, Urban Evolution, Oracle of Mul Daya, Exploration, Mana reflections

This is pretty standard green ramp. Maybe it could use some fine tuning, if you see anything that should be there let me know!

The Draw: Consecrated Sphinx, Fact or Fiction, Necropotence, Underworld Connections, Phyrexian Arena, Jace Beleren, Urban Evolution, Sultai Charm, Jace, the Mind Sculptor, Blue Sun's Zenith, Praetor's Counsel Oracle of Mul Daya, Decree of Pain and the lady herself, Damia, Sage of Stone.

Pretty standard blue and black draw, using your life total as a resource from black and playing big chunk draw spells from blue. Green even gets in on the action with Oracle and Praetor's Counsel!

The Removal... Oh the Removal! Evil Twin Sultai Charm, Curse of the Swine, Beast Within, Evil Twin , Terastodon, No Mercy, Strip Mine, Ashes to Ashes, In Garruk's Wake, Vraska the Unseen

Maybe I play too much removal... Oh wait, there's no such thing! Actually, there is, but it's a Black/Green deck, what do you expect?

The other disruption: Voidslime Counterspell, Hinder, Spell Crumple, Pact of Negation, Dismiss, Cyclonic Rift, Jace, the Mind Sculptor, Bojuka Bog, The Mimeoplasm, Propaganda, Liliana Vess

I'm trying to figure out the right number of counterspells to play in this deck, because I feel like they're worse in theory in a multiway because of the amount of spells being cast, but they've always been good to me. Cryptic Command, Mana Drain, and Force of Will are all too expensive for my budget at the moment, so I play what I can get my hands on. The Mimeoplasm is a new addition to the deck, I was going to play Body Double then remembered that I'm in BUG, and I have a card available that's strictly better.

The Cloning and Stealing: Phyrexian Metamorph, Evil Twin , The Mimeoplasm, Rite of Replication, Blatant Thievery, Knowledge Exploitation, Bribery, Rise of the Dark Realms.

Rise of the Dark Realms is one of those cards that you can't help but say "Oh my..." when it resolves. Also, Rite of Replication is a big deal. I feel like cloning and stealing are really important in commander because everyone else is playing huge spells too.

Graveyard Recursion: Snapcaster Mage, Eternal Witness, The Mimeoplasm, Praetor's Counsel, Rise of the Dark Realms

There's probably not enough of this effect, and I've had Praetor's Counsel in the deck off and on again and I kind of want it back again. Idk, I could use some opinions on that.

The Tutoring: Demonic Tutor, Lim-Dul's Vault, Beseech the Queen, Mystical Tutor, Worldly Tutor, Tooth and Nail, Rune-Scarred Demon, Liliana Vess, Bribery (sorta), & Knowledge Exploitation (sorta)

The tutoring is slowly getting better in this deck, I've gotten some money here lately and been able to buy some tutors that don't suck, as well as traded for a few.

The Bombs:

Avenger of Zendikar, Rise of the Dark Realms, Army of the Damned, Grave Titan, Bribery, Tooth and Nail, & Blue Sun's Zenith with infinite mana

These are the cards I think will really win me the game most of the time. I needed powerful things to kill them that didn't have the subtype Eldrazi on them, and this is what I have come up with. Tooth and Nail helps me find my infinite mana combo to let me go crazy.

Infinite Mana Combos:Mana Reflection + Palinchron Deadeye Navigator + Palinchron

I've been thinking about going with a much more proactive approach with lots of creatures, because I feel like that would be better able to utilize Damia's ability since reactive decks don't usually cast a whole lot of spells in a turn. That's what the Maybeboard is for, let me know if you have an opinion on that!

Anyways, thanks for looking at the deck and let me know, good or bad, what you think!

It's much spikier now. I've been winning a lot with it, and it's to the level that I want it.
