I'm aiming for a deck where I swoop in with Pako, Arcane Retriever and deal big damage to my opponents and exile their powerful cards. I can use those noncreature exiled cards with Haldan, Avid Arcanist for my benefit and also get rid of creatures by putting them on top of the library then exiling them. I've never wanted to buy crazy expensive cards for my decks yet my playgroup seems to spend a fortune on cards that are much better than mine. After the Arcane Maelstrom Precon came out, I became very interested in Pako and Haldan. After I watched Jimmy Wong from the Command Zone and Extra Turns use his Pako and Haldan decks, I decided to build a deck around these partners. I'm hoping this deck will up my play level within my magic group and will give me the chance to use some powerful cards and frustrate my opponent's plans!
