Green and Blue give a nice blend of ramp, control, and powerful creatures. The title is a bit misleading. I don't use many counterspells. The primary goal is to get the commander out and hit someone hard and often. I put Craterhoof cheeze and the Sage of hours as well. Mainly, just get the experience counters and control the threats. This deck would likely work better with a proliferate strategy, but I prefer creature vs creature synergies with standard casting for board wipes etc.
