Maybeboard

I've had this Zombie Tribal EDH deck for quite some time now. It started off as Grimgrin, Corpse Born, mostly consisting of Zombie cards I had collected over time. Later on, it became a Gisa and Geralf deck, which worked fairly well. Now, I am definitely going to give The Scarab God a chance at being the General to my fine legion of Zombies. I think he will have what it takes to give my horde a better chance.

The deck is really used mostly casually and occasionally featuring a competitive spike player every now and then. It works fairly well, but as previously mentioned it felt like a lot of my cards require a lot of setup to get rolling, and I feel that many of the key permanents draw fear from my enemies because, well, there's a lot powerful zombie tribal cards. Another issue with it seems to be that it has slow starts due to the cards that require some setting up. Maybe its because I am spoiled playing green in a lot of my decks, haha :P I know I need to work on my mana base as well, but I can't really drop money for the typically good dual lands, so I am coming up with more budget replacements.

I'm posting this deck to hopefully get a lot of feedback as to what cards you personally would cut for whatever reason, as well as any fairly budget options that I should definitely include in the list. I have checked out EDHREC for some card choices that I still have to get my hands on (In the acquire board). I appreciate all comments!

So like I said, the deck is mostly designed to be casual and there are a lot of cards simply in here for flavor. I'll give a small section below dedicated to some of the choices I noticed weren't being played as heavily in the Average Zombie Tribal builds.

Noosegraf Mob - Seems a little janky, but in multiplayer it usually amounts to five 2/2 zombies and being a Zombie itself, can be reanimated. It has worked surprisingly well!

Drakestown Forgotten - Usually can get really big in multiplayer, and although his ability is a bit expensive, when I can pay for it, it helps kill off pesky utility creatures and chumps blockers.

Erebos, God of the Dead - Flavorfully the God of the Dead belongs in a Zombie Tribal deck, right? He helps me draw cards, can fairly easily come online to get into combat, is resilient, and also keeps my opponents from abusing lifegain.

Elixir of Immortality - You'd think shuffling my graveyard back into my library would be card disadvantage, and sure, at times it is. However my deck runs enough important noncreature cards that often end up dead, and sometimes I need them back because they're that good. My deck has a lot of ways to draw cards, so it's not too big of an issue to shuffle my graveyard back, especially if I can drop a mass-reanimation spell beforehand so I can keep my creatures out. The little lifegain is also nice. The most important reason as to why I kept it though is because it serves as a defensive counter to Graveyard exile.

Demonic Collusion - An interesting tutor that's a bit expensive, but actually quite useful due to the fact I can buy it back by discarding either two things I don't need immediately, or two creatures to fill my graveyard up.

Cairn Wanderer - A hidden gem that mimics a budget Voltron zombie. Since graves will be filling up, I can usually make him a pretty intimidating creature.

Unfulfilled Desires - An enchantment that usually flies under the radar because most people don't see it as a big threat. Although paying mana and life for a looting effect isn't excellent, it does let me pitch cards into the graveyard.

Phyrexian Reclamation - A classic, cheap, and somewhat effective way of getting back a lot of creatures. Usually I don't have to spend a lot of mana or life to get a bunch of guys back to my hand; I can net the one important one I need or just one that can potentially resurrect all of my zombies!

Neurok Stealthsuit - I like the standard boots and greaves, but I have been running this with some success due to the fact you can attach it to a creature at instant speed to save it.

Thought Vessel - I would run another Reliquary Tower but I haven't got my hands on another one. The mana ramp is nice too. Sometimes my hand builds up because I draw a lot of cards, and sometimes they're not all cards I want to throw in the graveyard. This helps.
