HAHA! No Tribal Zombies here!

This is a Scarab God mill tribal deck. Rather than focusing on the first ability of Scarab God and sapping away their life totals, I took the true Dimir route: Mill. Mill. Mill. (Being completely honest, most games I completely forget make Scarab God's upkeep trigger actually affect my opponents!)

In this deck, you will see some classic examples of Dimir Mill: Mind Grind, Phenax, God of Deception, Traumatize, Fraying Sanity, Mindcrank, Consuming Aberration and Sphinx's Tutelage. Along with the basic "mill-em-out" principle, I want to reanimate and abuse having full graveyards with Lazav, Dimir Mastermind, Sepulchral Primordial, Geth, Lord of the Vault, and our very commander, The Scarab God. Hopefully, we will mill out 1 or 2 opponents, and use our board full of creatures and Scarab God life-drain triggers to kill the rest of the table.

I also included a couple "Good Stuff" cards like Ghoulcaller Gisa, Grave Titan, and Noosegraf Mob that get me lots of zombies. This is the alternate win condition. It gums my board up with blockers, saps opponents' life away with Scarab God's upkeep trigger, and eventually makes a zombie hoard big enough to overrun or sacrifice to Altar of Dementia.

The deck runs LOTS of card draw, especially on creatures that can be reanimated or activated abilities to cheapen and copy with Training Grounds and Rings of Brighthearth. The deck is also a little greedy on mana, so it runs plenty of ramp and mana rocks as well. Add a few counter spells and removal triggers on creatures, and you have the rest of the deck.

Really been enjoying this build, since I fully committed the decklist to a mill strategy. Found a great combo that managed to milled half of my 2 opponents' libraries in a 3 player game.

The combo is Altar of the Brood and Undead Alchemist.

I first-turn cast the Altar. After casting 3 mana rocks on turns 2-3, I managed to get the Alchemist out before turn 4. The synergy between the Altar and the Alchemist was almost an instant combo, which only occurred to me when I reread both cards. It eventually led to me creating almost 40 zombie tokens in one round of the table. I was able to swing with lethal damage on both opponents, but with the Alchemist replacement effect, milled out their whole libraries on turn 8!
