This is yet another combo-based Ghave deck, but this one has a cunning backup plan. I'll explain the combos first and then move on to the backup plan after. Let me first say that this is definitely a budget deck, so that's why there's no Doubling Season or Phyrexian Altar. I'm definitely trying to keep it under $10 a card here, folks. Bearing that in mind, away we go.

Combos (In a Ghave deck? I don't believe you.):

These should give you infinite creatures entering/leaving the battlefield and infinite delicious colourless mana:

Ghave, Guru of Spores+Ashnod's Altar+ Lumberknot / Algae Gharial / Scavenger Drake /Twilight Drover/Death's Presence/Blade of the Bloodchief/Ob Nixilis, Unshackled

Add in any of these fine permanents to that equation and things start to get pretty nasty for everyone else:

Blood Artist (Win-con), Falkenrath Noble (Win-con), Butcher of Malakir (Boardwipe), Dictate of Erebos (Boardwipe) Requiem Angel (Infinite spirits), Leyline of Vitality (Infinite life), Fecundity (Draw your deck!).

Also, with that infinite colorless mana, there are so many other fun things to do! (Provided you've got the other colors available too.) Here are a few examples:

Hydra Broodmaster/Gelatinous Genesis (I'll take a thousand 1,000/1,000 creatures, please!), Death Grasp (Kill someone and gain infinite life), Maga, Traitor to Mortals (Kill someone), Debt to the Deathless (You win), Wurmcalling (RFB wurm with buyback), Diabolic Revelation (Go get all your cards!), Any of the Hydras (Just hope your opponent isn't thinking about hard-casting that Phthisis on their next turn).

The Backup Plan:

Since the entire combo strategy mostly centers on Ashnod's Altar to work, a simple counter-spell or Revoke Existence might threaten to ruin your day, but never fear! This deck comes equipped with a "Plan B!" Even with The Altar in exile, other cards like Corpsejack Menace, Parallel Lives, and Primal Vigor can help to ensure that you'll grow a massive army of Saprolings rather quickly. From there, you can drop Collective Blessing, Overrun, Tromp the Domains , Overwhelming Stampede, or, if you want to be the guy who uses infect in EDH, Triumph of the Hordes. I'm also running Eidolon of Countless Battles and Wayfaring Temple, so you could always slap a Behemoth Sledge on one of those guys and go to town. I had Crusader of Odric in there for a while since she was similar and was slightly more aggressively costed, but I never seemed to as much value out of "Pirate Amy Pond" as I did the Eidolon and the Temple, so I had to make her walk the plank.

Card Draw:

Carnage Altar, Psychotrope Thallid, Fecundity, Deathreap Ritual, Sign in Blood, Read the Bones, Altar's Reap

Other Cards (The backup plan to help back-up the backup plan):

Vizkopa Guildmage and Sanguine Bond because yes.

Custodi Soulbinders and Twilight Drover couldn't be better at making spirits if they had a truckload of corn, a copper still, and an old shed in their pappy's back yard.

Obelisk of Urd (choosing Saprolings, of course) could be ''free'' to cast once you've got six creatures, and that shouldn't take very long at all.

Ophiomancer is wonderful utility here. He makes a snake with deathtouch every upkeep which means I can just sac it to give someone a +1/+1 counter at every end step (provided I've got the mana to do so).

Other than that, there's a few ramping spells to get things moving a bit quicker. I don't like to cast Ghave until I can also have at least a couple untapped mana sources available to use his abilitites on his first turn out. People don't like him, therefore he usually doesn't get to hang around for too long, so I try to get as much use out of him while he is alive.

Alright, there it is. Usually, this deck will just sit around looking pretty benign for most of the game while you grow your army exponentially right under everyone's noses (and mostly during other players' turns). By the time everyone else recognizes you as an immediate threat, it's hopefully far too late. I have had lots of fun playing this one. Feel free to leave any suggestions, just please keep in mind I'm trying not to spend more than $10 on any single card, and I'm definitely trying to avoid the expensive land cards (Woodland Cemetery, Temple Garden, etc. Also, I'm aware that there's no Exquisite Blood to go with my Vizkopa Guildmage and Sanguine Bond. I like combos as much as the next fellow, but that one's a little too easy for my taste. Have a look and leave me some suggestions!

Updates Add

Updated the deck to include some of leveebreaker23's suggestions. I took out a lot of the high CMC cards like Baleful Force and wound up with a better mana curve too. Playtesting this deck tonight. Will update after. Also, I had to make this deck ignore suggestions because it wasn't letting me clear them out or say that they were good. So sorry in advance.
