Creature — Rhino Soldier
Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, if that creature is 1/1, put two +1/+1 counters on it.
Sigil Captain Discussion

Hey ! Cool deck, I just recently built my first Ghave deck and I really like it, lots of value and lots of fun. I have a few recommandation since you look interested : - Vitu-Ghazi, the City-Tree : I find it way to expensive, instead I run Oran-Rief, the Vastwood , way more value for a lot cheaper - Corpse Knight : I find Cruel Celebrant to be better for the life gain, for the same cost. - the new Moldervine Reclamation is an amazing draw engine in this deck, try giving it a shot - For a 3 colored deck, you lack mana fixing in my opinion. I run the 3 talisman (hierarchy, unity and resilience). Chromatic Lantern, a little bit more expensive, is a must have in 3 colored or more decks. - I find the thallid (with the spore counters) a bit underpowered even in this kind of deck (except Psychotrope Thallid ), but that's just my opinion. - From the top of of mind, cheap cards i would consider: Sigil Captain , Requiem Angel , Sandsteppe Citadel , Woodfall Primus , Song of Freyalise , ...
Hope this is some sort of help, would love to hear your opinion! Cheers

Genesis Chamber is awesome. A buddy of mine once had a deck like this, with Saltskitter s as Norins 5,6 and 7: They would enter the battlefield during the end step, trigger Genesis Chamber, and leave until the next end step. And even when the Genesis Chamber weren't there, they would enter the battlefield, and in turn exile eachother, triggering the Soul Warden s.
He also used Sigil Captain to make sure his Myr (and soul sisters) were better, but these are all strategies probably better suited to the kitchen table.

I've really been into pauper edh recently and I found a combo to make infinite mana with having Sigil Captain as the cmdr in play, with Ashnod's Altar (its a common in Chronicles) in play, with Safehold Elite in play. Sacrifice Safehold Elite to the altar, it comes back with a -1/-1 counter on it but gets 2 +1/+1 counters because Sigil Captain . Making infinite colorless mana
In a game where I was up against a Zndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom and Okaun, Eye of Chaos deck I lost to a combo I have never seen befor. He put Assault Suit on his Zndrsplt, then played Frenetic Efreet . Passed his turn, gave me his Zndrsplt. Then put 150 coin flip activations on the stack forcing me to draw my whole deck

Some cards to consider: Epic Struggle , Wolfcaller's Howl , Growing Rites of Itlimoc Flip, Sylvan Offering , Harvest Season , Whispersilk Cloak , Skullclamp , Bastion Protector , Sigil Captain , Path of Discovery , Druid of the Anima , Knotvine Mystic , Mage Slayer , Sunforger , Bravado , Spirit Mantle , Mentor of the Meek , Soul Warden , Beastmaster Ascension , and Resplendent Angel . Haha sorry for the long list, just cards that came to mind as being potentially useful!

Ignoring the terrible story, bad characters, not following the rules of the game or any of the cards, playing cards that don't or never did or will exist and ALL of the other problems the Yugioh cartoon series had, one thing about it REALLY interested me and kept me watching when I was younger and that was the hologram duels!
Do you guys think that it might be possible, through either hologram technology or some sort of 2-4 player VR system that a yugioh like mtg battle can take place? Would it ever have an impact on how we play or make competitive playing more fun if stuff like that existed? Imagine playing a Sigil Captain then watching how cool he looks after you stack a Armadillo Cloak and a Behemoth Sledge and watch him go to town on your opponent and his creatures in all his completely realistic but hologram 3d goodness!
Think that's ever gonna happen? Even in 20 years?

Yep, Pattern of Rebirth was made for ghave!
Elenda, the Dusk Rose + Blade of the Bloodchief (as mentioned) is a great combo in my Vampiric Ghave deck - I suppose it woould be taking away from the intensity of combo synergy here. However, Elenda seems like a good powerhouse to have around - an infinitely large giant life-linker ready to swing in.
Pitiless Plunderer is in another version of Ghave I have and, with any sac cycle, he will make it infinite. I'm sure someone has recommended him already, but just in case.
This is awesome to see. Ghave is definitely a favourite of mine as well - he's pretty good for enabling janky strategies.
Here's my Janky Ghave work in progress:

I'd appreciate any ideas for speeding it up and enabling the general strategy. While I use some of the strategies you listed here in my regular Ghave, seeing them here have given me an idea on what to adopt for the Jank version. I've got the core idea in, but now I think it's time to bring in the altars, undying, and a few cheaper counter multipliers like Bloodspore Thrinax and Sigil Captain and Ivy Lane Denizen as Cathars' Crusade is interfering with Ghave's casting turn and the rest of the combo (in my context).
It's great to see Ghave at his best. My friends hate seeing him come out - I don't get room to breathe cause no matter what's happening on my board, the know it's a matter of time before the explosion of spores happens.
