EVERYONE RUN! ITS A SLIVER INVASION!

I first discovered Slivers in 2016, I fell in love instantly with their hive mind. This deck is a Sliver Overlord infinite combo deck. The Combo involves: Gemhide Sliver/Manaweft Sliver + Basal Sliver/Ashnod's Altar + Sliver Queen + Heart Sliver or any other haste Sliver.

I don't have an Ashnod's Altar in the deck, but that's because I feel that it sullies my good Sliver's name. The whole point of this deck is to try and get the Infinite Combo out as fast as possible. I believe this is done on turn 3 at the earliest, and involves Paradox Engine or Intruder Alarm. My goal is a consistent win by turn 7 or 8.

Slivers have a lot of answers to many things. Harmonic Sliver gets rid of pesky enchantments and artifacts. Root Sliver can stop control decks from stopping you. Quick Sliver gives your slivers flash. Crystalline Sliver removes people's abilities to even target your creatures. Those are probably your second most important slivers as they enable you to interact with the board, and stop your opponents from interacting with yours. An honorable mention here is Sliver Hivelord. At five mana, and one mana of each at that, he is too expensive to rely on. If you can get him out early, or have seen board wipes just take out your field every turn he then becomes a viable option.

I have included a couple of instant and sorceries in my deck list in order to help weather the storm of my opponents. Patriarch's Bidding makes getting your field blown up hurt just a bit less. Kozilek is included in this list, not so that you can cast him, but because he is anti-mill and will hopefully be staying in the deck for the whole game. The reason I chose him, is that if you do end up casting him you get to draw your 4 cards, and refill your hand. This can be important late game, but I don't think it'll come up often.

I think that that about covers everything that I feel needs explaining for newer players, or people unfamiliar with what a Sliver Overlord Deck looks like. The only issue that I have with Sliver Decks, or combo decks in general, is that after a while they all start to look the same. Keeping that in mind, I tried to have a decent bit of variety in my deck and avoided Stax cards at the same time. As always, let me know what you think, maybe jot down a card that you think would make a difference. Look forward to my next deck!
