Cloudshredder Sliver

Creature — Sliver

Sliver creatures you control have flying and haste.

Qui-Gon-Chi-Ching Slivers aren't really a thing at the competitive level, but I've seen some good high-casual decks. Modern Horizons introduced Cloudshredder Sliver, Lavabelly Sliver, The First Sliver, Spiteful Sliver and Scuttling Sliver as potential build-arounds, among a few others.

You may want to swap Blur Sliver for Cloudshredder Sliver.

You should consider using a lot more of the Manaweft Sliver, Gemhide Sliver, and Cloudshredder Sliver. Also you might find the Homing Sliver and The First Sliver useful.

gemhide is only 1 in 99, and you're missing Manaweft Sliver. 30 lands barely gets you 3 lands by turn 3, and you have a lot of spells that cost 5+ mana. you've also got 102 cards in the deck, 2 copies of Bronze Walrus, and missing Cloudshredder Sliver. missing several good slivers/support cards actually.

Just a heads up! Ponder is limited so you can't play it at 3 like the list says... Also I'd recommend swapping galerider sliver with Cloudshredder Sliver and the muscle slivers for Sliver Legion,Bonescythe Sliver, or Striking Sliver. Lastly I feel as if hibernation sliver does nothing relevant in the deck and would suggest swapping it with Manaweft Sliver or Gemhide Sliver. OH and Diffusion Sliver could also be good.

Decided to change things up a bit with this one. Added in the Aether Vial. Also added in some Mutavault and Cloudshredder Sliver. The single red mana is easy enough to cover with the plethora of sources here. Hasty fliers are worth it. I might try out the Lead the Stampede in place of the Collected Company now that I have the vials in. Putting the cards directly into play was a bigger deal with the weaker mana base, but the vials help circumvent this, and the Lead the Stampede is cheaper to cast. I've given some thought to the Bonescythe Sliver idea, but the 4 CMC is still a bit more than I want to build around. I'm actually leaning more toward swapping the Lancer Sliver out for Striking Sliver since I have already broken the two color barrier. It's half the P/T, but a third the cost. IDK, maybe...

Still playing around with the sideboard.

BossUltinuc on What are some affordable improvements …

So I built this Sliver focused deck, but I really don't have the budget to be spending $20 AUD per card so that I can build the sickest deck ever. Therefore, I'm wondering what some improvements I can make to this deck are to make it more capable, even if it isn't going to be winning any tournaments

I'm not a Sliver expert, so get your grain of salt ready, but here are my thoughts.

First thing is mana fixing. I see three Manaweft Sliver. If you want to go five colors, I would add at least 2-3 mana slivers, either Manaweft or Gemhide Sliver. Depending on your land base, a playset of each might work. They're still very helpful at 2-4 colors.

Galerider Sliver and Diffusion Sliver are both very good effects, and you almost have a full playset of both, so those can make a good core. You don't need to have more than one Galerider in play, but you definitely want that one available with others on standby in your hand, and Diffusion stacks with itself to make spot removal near useless.

The and options seem underwhelming, although Cloudshredder Sliver is a decent backup to Galerider. Most of the red ones being singletons also makes them easier to set aside.

I don't see any special combos outside of the usual Sliver synergy, so a straightforward approach of "lay down Slivers and attack" is probably the way to go.

Looking at this collection (and again, not being a Sliver expert), I would suggest making a core and stocking up on mana Slivers to get access to the Cloudshredders and Striking Slivers, keeping the mana costs low for a fast, aggressive deck.

4 Manaweft Sliver

2 Gemhide Sliver

4 Galerider Sliver

4 Diffusion Sliver

3 Cloudshredder Sliver

4 Sentinel Sliver

2 Striking Sliver

3 Tempered Sliver

2 Bonescythe Sliver

4 Predatory Sliver
