Ever since Gahiji, Honored One was released I've had this minor obsession with the idea of building a bloodbath-inducing Grand Melee deck. I want everyone raging, everyone attack. I also want to sit back a little and dissuade people from attack me. I brewed up a list for Gahiji, but never built it because I was worried my playgroup would just view the easiest solution to my tomfoolery to be beating me to death.

Then Thantis, the Warweaver was spoiled and the internet raged at the spider commander that didn't care about spiders. I don't think he's quite as good as Gahiji, but he does bring something unique to my little obsession in that he's rocking black instead of white. Marchesa's Decree and No Mercy encourage people to look elsewhere with all their attacking, Sower of Discord adds another card that ramps up the bloodshed, Deathreap Ritual draws you cards for doing what the deck does, and you get some sweet Deathtouch.

Then something strange happened in my brain and I thought about a general that's been around for a minute or two: Zedruu the Greathearted. She's known for a couple different things, but not for combat. She does, however, let me do some of the things I wanna be doing. She's got all the red nonsense required for this kind of deck. She's got the blue and white defensive cards like Ghostly Prison, Collective Restraint, and Illusionist's Gambit. She also adds a unique twist to the archetype by encouraging effects that work no matter who controls them like Imprisoned in the Moon, Detention Sphere, Torpor Orb, and Dictate of Kruphix while also generating card advantage by passing them around.

So here it is: Zedruu's Charnel House. Hopefully it's not just hot garbage. It is currently 6 cards too heavy, so I'll need to make some cuts. Any and all feedback is appreciated.
